OV2 7n £369 20th May(best available)
OV2 14n £639 27th May
I think this is a newish low for OV pricing and I don't remember cruise1st doing late OV offers before but I have not been watching TXT as closly for the last few months.
Perhaps the OV fans can comment.
This is into Island price range for last minutes and I think(never been on OV) OV is probably a better product.

Thanks for the update on OV pricing.
In the past, I have been on both ships, but I can say my last trip on OV (Oct 2007) would definitely be my last. I won't go into detail too much but it was pretty poor to say the least.
Comparing the two ships in, OV is a more modern vessel whilst IE is a converted car ferry but having said that, the cabins are very comfortable but lack a fridge in my opinion. Food on either ship, although adequate cannot be described as fine dining, but you would never go hungry. Both ships are very clean. The biggest difference is the entertainment provided. IE is far, far superior whilst OV is/was abysmal. Captain and crew on IE very hands on, i.e. out and about at evening dinner chatting, at the gangplank on embarkation and de-embarkation days, whilst I question whether or not OV had a captain!
I have just had an email offering Independence of the Seas (RCI) 31st May (Med itinery - 2 weeks) for £699. Definitely worth the extra £60. Launched about 3 weeks ago, it is getting some very good reviews, without doubt will loads better that OV or IE and no need for the monkey suit, if thats not your scene.
I have commented many times, and repeat again, there is far better value on ships that are superior to the package cruises offered by OV/Island/Thomson. Have sailed with both Island and Thomson previously and thoroughly enjoyed, but would not go back again. The previous post by stokerej has highlighted an excellent deal on Independence of the Seas, and there are many others available at present.
I still have 2 cabins on hold
CC GTY £278 for 2 inc pre paid service charge
BA GTY £339 FOR 2 inc pre paid service charge
If anyone wants them they can be transfered
PM me for the booking ref number they must be cancelled off on Monday
I was going but I am holding out for a Norway cruise around the same time
There are so many good offers out there too many to mention. Today's Daily Mail a lot from Gill travel. If you look at their web site you can bring up their adverts and have a look.
I certainly would never entertain any of the mentioned Cruise Lines. There are so many better Cruise Lines and Companies and I have never seen the level of discounts and discounted cruises ever in the past 11-12 years I have been cruising regularly.
I am still watching for price drops on the cruises I have booked as there is still a lot of availability on the 27th August cruise. The November cruise I am watching in case a better located room comes up.
Have a good weekend everyone and happy cruising!
Sue
Here is an MSC 7 night cruise only BCN £199
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=921977
W'J, are you sure this is 7 nights. The only one on the thread shown at that price is for 3 nights, not 7. Not a good deal for 3 nights once the flight cost is factored in!
MSC Melody is £199 for 7 nights on every Monday in June.
OK, taking your word on that as I could only see the 3 nighter. For 7 nights, a fantastic deal at that price.
try this link for June 2
