There are a few pics on TA from a very unhappy fella from the US, complaining cause the USA flag was upside down (sorry but I think thats hysterical)
He checked in on the 24th of April and he has basicly took pics of men at work, to be honest I didnt know it was open to the public until May so im not suprised it was still getting work done, and on the plus side the pics arnt too bad.

yeah i agree and think things will be fine in about a week aswell and im sure the royal suites and kiddies pool will be completed.

We are at White Sands at moment and arrived on 3 May
Finally got moved into our Royal Suites on 11 May (they really are not that special!) after living on a building site since we arrived. Swimming pool area still not complete and some rooms still not done.
Activity pool is half shut due to toxic chemicals taking the paint off and turning the guests clothes blue! The relaxation pool is crumbling on the bottom.
There has been no work being done on the splash pool for the last 5 days so cannot see it being ready anytime soon!
Guests that arrived this weekend have demanded moves to other hotels already. Oh and the food choice at breakfast and dinner is very very limited.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I am sure anyone coming next month will have a fantastic time as long as they sort the food out before then!!

Oh no this does not sound good, I called first choice yesterday and was told all building work had been completed and everything was up and running apart from splash pool, they are waiting on a pump that is held up at customs in cancun but should be with the hotel this week.
I have been told by first choice I am unable to switch this holiday yet free of charge until I am told in writing that things are not complete.
I go on the 8th June and there is no way I am staying at this accomodation if it is as bad as it sounds

we deliberately left it until june although we like to go away in may, ebcause thought would give them chance to complete!!

i will kick off so loudly if it's a tip when i get there! save like crazy all year for our annual bloomin holiday

oh nightmare i've read threads like this before and thought phew i'm glad i never book new hotels. but with this being a refurb we thought give them a month and it should be sorted! stupid us it sounds like...

on the home page of ta in the green box there is a tab named forums, click on this it will then give you a list of countries, click on Mexico, then click on Yucatan or what ever it is , think its at the bottom, then pick the second one down with about 908 replies wouldnt bother reading the first lot of pages but from about 70 onwards is very interesting

I dont go until 27th September so hoping everything will be done by then!!

does anyone know if there is still the main jacuzzi available? not the royal suites one but the one that they had advertising that was right by the beach.
