We had one of those "fashion shows" at our hotel in Tenerife at Easter, with those oh-so-glamorous Spanish ladies modelling lovely "chic" beachwear, and demonstrating how to effortlessly throw on these trousers that seemed to go on like a big nappy and tie round the waist... you probably all know what I mean. I thought these ladies looked lovely in their continental beachwear but I just knew I'd look like a sack of spuds if I bought anything like that Anyway, they had some tops which were worn in a similar way to the Saress and they demonstrated several different ways of wearing it as well. I'd still like to try one on before "investing".
As for the Itsa - I do think £25 is a bit much to spend on a towel - if I had a bit more spare time on my hands I'd probably buy a couple of cheap ones and get the sewing machine out... and that's how we stand out as British
I remember many years ago in Benidorm (mid-1980s) there were some German lads at our hotel and they'd made their own beach towels by sewing together lots of different towelling bar mats - you don't see many of those anymore!
i always try to get on the lilo ladylike, and cant quite manage it, i try to get off nicely and just seem to go under quite quickly...and i always loose a suncream, or something under the middle of the sunbed.......
Red magazine has a free sarong this month ladies. Don't know how big it is, probably not very.
Actually I like it - not enough to splash out on another one but will keep this one. Fairly flimsy but only seems to cling to the bits I want it to . Asked eldest what she thought - reply was "it will do" which is high praise indeed

I don't really know how to ask this Lyn, but do you think it would look OK on a size 14 to 16 person, or is it designed for the ultra slim ? I'm not expecting to look like Kate Moss or anything, well not unless it comes with its own plastic surgeon just don't want to scare anyone.
When I first opened it I thought "what the heck" looks like a dish cloth but it actually covers a multitude of sins but nothing like they do on the website unfortunatly
One thing I would say is the standard one comes to my knees (good) but I am 5' 9" and I know you are not !
Going to wear mine with my new moda in pelle sandals while watching Suralan tonight
no good for me then. I'm only 5ft when I breathe in and stand tall
Me too Helen!
Now, as you know, I'm all for striving to look 'euro chic' on my hols this year, and gonna fail miserably as I fail to co ordinate as effortlessly as our lovely euro cousins, so , god bless him, should I let him wear it with pride ( he's gonna team it with his aviator shades, man bag and t-shirt with a hint of lurexy sparkle ) honest, he is so not this camp at home, but he reckons that as the mediteranian men can get away with this look, then so can he ! thank god he hasn't bought a leapard print thong !
thing is, he turns 40 on this holiday, so gawd only knows about his method of holding on to his youth !
so if anyone is in fuengirola in july and see's a man answering this dicription with wife and daughter walking at least a mile behind, thats my hubby ! love him really !
Thanks for the reply Lally. Even though I am 9" shorter than you I might give it a go. They do sell it in a full length version so it might not look so bad.
I'm sure if Suralan had seen you wearing it last night he would have made you his new Apprentice.

I am sooooooooo taken with the ITSA, I just had to buy two!!!
As far as I can see the only difference in the longer one is that .. well, its longer. Bargain !
Just thought I'd better warn you . So 7 weeks six days to go armed with my ITSA, Saress and posh sandals and I bet I'll still look like I need a good iron
Lynne

the good news is your a good sales woman so I shall be ordering one a little nearer the time . hoping they might add a plain brown one to their collection by them.
Ive decided you need a good posture for this euro chick lark which I so havnt got . my mum always used to tell me to hold my shoulders back when I was young but I never listened .Im now blessed with hunched and rounded shoulders and must give the appearance of a bag lady who also has a bag of cement strapped to her back.
p/s Ive just seen the Itsa on a Dragons Den repeat tonight . couldnt believe it . He was turned down flat so the guys done well
