Well, off to the Hemera is just 17days now..... so of course I'm hooked to this thread.
Did a sneaky thing of calling direct holidays after work today, and asked for a price for next summer at the Hemera........
The answer was: system is locked. which means either something is going or it could be to do with contracts.. and I was asked to call back in a few weeks time.
Hmmmmmmm... fingers started to dial Thomas cook direct.... asked for the same, as with d/holidays.....
Result was : can get you a flight from gatwick, but cant find the hotel, i need a brochure code, so I explained that though I had some brouchures I couldnt actually see the Hemera in the ones I had. He finally found a code and gave it a try, he came back with ' but havent got the room size your looking for, the hotel doesnt have bigger room sizes '
My reply 'was I'm booked to go on the 19th June this year, and if we liked it, we would re-book on return ' ... he replied ' go on holiday, have a good time, and then try again, if they couldnt book it with T/cook he'd look for another operator that would be able to take bookings'.....
As my hubby was getting annoyed with me calls, I never got the chance to call Portland......however I might tomorrow !
I checked a price for next Summer on Thomsons site earlier today and they are still selling it. I wouldn't panic Lyn they are probably just loading new prices. You'll feel all pleased when they come on line again and feel like you have a bargain. 
I have put in a search in thomas cook and the hermera is coming and it takes you to the name and payment page. Price is up slightly on the afternoon today. We are paying DD £4000 for 5 adults 4 august TC want £5000. Lykia world was coming up for £3500 for 3 rooms last week and now £5500. Would of gone there but rooms for 2 people only so me my wife and youngest daughter splite up. Its like the wow bodrum resort its only 2 people to a room.

My hotel is a Thomas cook partner hotel so I think that they must have a stake in those hotels! So hopefully nothing to do with the russians!!! lol
I was interested in the new Royal Dragon which is in the thomas cook brochure but not available on line and when I rang a couple of weeks ago the women i spoke to said it maybe to do with contracts not being signed etc, I am sure more hotels will be available for next summer shortly!

it could be as simple as adding the new fuel supplements into the prices when you book and not sending a bill after you have booked and leaving people fuming at the extra prices. 
If that was the reason surely it would affect all the holidays and not just some hotels!
I hope they do not start adding extra on to holidays because of the fuel prices because I have 4 holidays booked!!! 2 for this year and 2 for next year! My daughter was saying that she had read that they may well do that though!

Thomas cook are unlikely to ask for a fuel supplement they are big enough to absorb the increase and just add it to new holidays. Its the small airlines who will add a supplemnt, agean has done it already. It would surprise if TC had ex-amount of room contracted at a lower price then the other rooms and these were sold by DD, TC direct sell arm and a new set of rooms have to be contracted for DD.
Checked thomas cook tonight and the hermera is gone, its only coming up on manos now. I think when it returns to DD and TC sites the price will be up.
Got a letter from the travel agent for payment for the holiday to hemera which we cancelled, seems they didn't, but we might be able to go after all. So if its not cancelled might just pay and go in august, I really wanted to go.
Shouldn't need more the £350 per week spending money seeing we are A/I. Last year in majorca we were H/B for a week and only spent £350 on lunches and drinks.

Don't forget to budget if you need a late checkout. Prices over the road are stable, soft drinks, coffee at 1 euro (2 lira), Cocktails of the day at 3 euro (6 lira). Average pizza or salad is about 7 euro.

Can anyone give me any information regarding the noise levels, times etc. as we have booked to stay in the Hemera hotel after reading all the good reports, but are now thinking should we cancel or not. We have emailed the hotel to get their slant on things and to see if there is any rooms where the noise won't wake the family up.
It seems strange that a disco is allowed set up in a lovely tourist resort like Side, and operate till 5 in the morning four nights a week, yet elsewhere bars & resturants are being shut down for asking people to eat or drink in their establishment. It makes you wonder what has gone on behind the scenes so to speak

Our family stayed at the Hemera a couple of years ago and we were in a 2 bedroomed apartment at the back of the hotel, the nearest apartments to the main road where the Oyxd is located. We stayed for two weeks in July/August and could honestly say we couldn't hear the disco. The hotel is fabulous (and probably moreso since its refurbishment) - I certainly wouldn't be thinking of cancelling. If it concerns you, just ask for a room nearer to the beach. If you are in a hotel room as opposed to an apartment, these are nowhere near the Oyxd.

The hemera has been removed from all of TC companies website's now, TC,DD,Manos. Thomson and portland have gone up.
What are they playing at . it was back on the TC website last week 
Looks like tour ops cutting capacity before a recession happens. Cosmos has limited amount hotels for the antalya area compared to this time last year. All I can think of booking are down compared to this time last year.
I am very surprised how TC has cut back because they offer the largest range of hotels in the antalya area and surprised not one of their brochures don't have the hemera. Now will they be cutting the number of flights and consolidate them with changed flight times.

Well today we off the the Hemera, will be leaving for the airport in approx 5 and half hours time,
so ive sent the kids to school til lunch, will take dog to kennels, keep tidy up....... meal in the pub for hubby and i, load the car and were off.......opppppss must remeber to pick up kids from school
Well leave full report of our holiday as soon as we return in a fortnight.............
