The free flying sparrows in the restaurant are also included in the price!

Just take care where you decide to sit for your meals.

There were no birds ( of the feathered variety ) flying around any of the restaurants when we were there!! Denny

Hi Denny

Thanks for the info, I love to dress up in the evenings it seems to make the holiday.
Another question: we have to be out of our room by 12:00 noon and we don't get picked up until 9pm, is there a room for us to shower and somewhere I can do my hair.

Thanks again.

Yes, you can use the spa area, showers, towels, shampoo etc and hairdryer. To keep a room it is 10 euro per hour - just ask at reception. Denny

Is there a dress code for dinner? e.g. do men have to wear long trousers, or are smart 3/4 length jeans/trousers/shorts acceptable?

I tend not to like wearing full length trousers in hot destinations as they are uncomfortable, but if they enforce a dress code then I know it gives me a better idea what to pack!

Smart shorts or long trousers are acceptable - there are staff at the entrance, who will turn you away if not suitably dressed. Hope this helps. Denny

That sounds good - i'll take long trousers just in case but I should hopefully be fine with some smart long shorts by the dounds of it :-)

Going to get this place booked up sometime this weekend for a trip in June 2009 - it looks such a wonderful place!

Well, we're all booked up for June 2009 and we can't wait!

One quick question about the "all inclusive" drinks in the hotel...

Is EVERY drink you get from the hotel free? Are there international brands you can get? Are there some drinks you have to pay for?

I'm happy with just drinking beer (typical man I know!) but my fiancee only really drinks Bailey's or Gin 'n' Tonic (doesn't matter if they are local or "real" brands) - are these available?

There are some international brands available at Concorde. all available 24 hrs a day. There is a 'cigar bar' that has the really expensive drinks. eg Remi Martin, aged whiskys etc, and you do have to pay for these. All the others including cocktails (yummy) are free. Gin, whisky, brandy, rum etc, some named brands , some local are free. Soft drinks include real Cola, Fanta, Sprite etc. The beer is Efes. Hubby assures me it's excellent, not watered down and for some reason the Efes served at the beach bar, tasted the best......

Brilliant - many thanks for the advice!

You say about the cigar bar... Is smoking allowed indoors throughout the hotel, or is it limited to the cigar bar?

We are not smokers ourselves, and prefer smoke free areas, but I know we can't always have our own way lol! Knowning in advance at least takes away any dissapointment when you get there!

Smoking was allowed inside when we went year before last, although there were large no smoking areas in the bars, restaurants etc. This may well of changed now, as many more hotels in Turkey are becoming non smoking. By June 09, I would imagine it will be no smoking indoors!
This year we went to the Larespark, just down the road from the Concorde, and that was completely non smoking inside.

Hey guys.

Will be travelling to the Concorde Delux on sept14 08 for 2 weeks.just a couple of questions.
My partner and i are both big walkers.is it possible to walk along the beach and reach Antalya?
and can anyone give their opinion on quality of food at the hotel.
We stayed at the club magic life Marmaris last yr and that was of a high standard.is this hotel on a par?
Many thanks

Hi, The quality of the food is excellent, as is everything about the hotel!!
Unfortunately, you can't walk along the beach to Antalya for a couple of reasons.
1. Quite near to the hotel is a river that runs into the sea, it's not terribly wide, but quite fast flowing, you could negociate it, but with difficulty.
2. All the beach fronts are private to certain hotels, you may or not be stopped by sercurity from walking on 'their' beach.
3. It's a long, long, way......... takes at least 15 mins in a taxi!!
There are some lovely walks though in the foothills of the mountains. You would be best hiring a car or going on an organised trip into the mountains. There is a lady Carreta, who often posts on here, that lives in Antalya. You could PM her, she would defo be able to help you.
