Can you describe the split level family room please, or is that what you describe in your feedback? Is it 2 rooms, or one big room with two levels (if you cacth my drift).
Luckily my youngest is 7 (and a half!) so we should not have escaping kids.
However I would appreciate details on what the 'split level family room' means please (one room or two or what please?)
Also - sunbeds? Do you have to pay, and are they plentiful?
Thanks very much and glad that someone on here has been there too!
The split level family rooms have a (semi) private pool and consist of one large room with twin beds, table, chairs, tv, french doors to pool, and a bathroom. A stair case leads up to a mezzanine level which has twin beds and a wardrobe. A banister rail separates the mezzanine level from the rest of the apartment so it is not a closed off separate room as such. From what I could tell the split level rooms varied in layout so I have described our room only. I have already mentioned that our pool was shared with next door but we had 6 sunbeds between us and plenty of room around the pool to put them, plus a table and 2 chairs each. The split level rooms are at the top of the Miraluna resort so it's a bit of a steep climb to get there but you get a nice view of the rest of the resort out to the sea. Having said that, there were a few Miraluna rooms with private pool that seemed to look out into the island but I didn't get a good look at those. Oh yeah, I just remebered the power cuts! There were plenty of them, at least 2 a day but never lasting more than 10 minutes and never after it got dark outside so it wasn't a major hassle.
As we had our own pool we didn't really use the others but sunbeds were stacked up all round the place so plenty available. They are free and you can get beach towels for a 20 euro deposit. We didn't go down to the beach but I saw a sign saying you had to pay for sunbeds there. There is a separate kids pool with a pirate ship (might be a bit young for a 7 year old) and we were usually the first ones to get there even at 10am so you don't need to get up at 6am to reserve a bed!
Hi, we're going back to Kiotari again this year (only 20 days to go) we had a great holiday there 2 years ago. I'm sure for those of you who havent yet been will have a great time.
What sort of room were you in and would you say that it is a great place for families? I'm still concerned about some of the reports but am taking the 'holiday is what you make it' attitude and really really looking forward to it.
Look out for the Norwich City football shirts and that'll be us!
I'm off Wednseday next week. Yipeeeee!
I'm sure you'll have a great time..
Btw we'll be the ones in Derby County shirts...lol
Any other questions feel free to ask
Just to let you know that we are having a ball and survived the fire evacuation! Will do full report when I get back but the food is fine, rooms good, staff excellent, kids clubs great fun. And it is HOT!
Yammas!
Sounds great...we leave for kiotari tomorrow night. yammas!!
Promise I will get around to doing my Hotel report this weekend.
However would like to say that I had a BRILLIANT time. My husband even met sheep1884 in the Zeus bar one night by chance (I was tiucked up in the room with the kids, sound asleep...)!
The site was fine, the food was fine and the room (down near to the pirate pool) was just what we wanted. Kids loved it, First Choice kids clubs were great and so were the animation team.
Don't believe all the reviews you read - just relax and enjoy!
I think you'll find he met Kristina in the zeus bar that night....
