Both! They are a Turkish airline who run a scheduled service in Turkey. They also have a charter service for tour operators throughout europe operating flights to the popular Turkish resorts. Finding out how many flights have been delayed over a 6 week period won't be easy. It'll be quite a few though! Most of their flights seem to suffer from slight delays of between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours. You might be lucky though! Cabin photo of the A321-200 here. Cabin photos of the larger A300B4-605R are linked at the top of the page.

hi can you tell me what the check in time with onur air from newcastle is please is it 2 hours. Also how likely are we to have a delay as we dont fly till 7.30pm so dont get there till 1.45am and then a 2 hour transfer. Thanks Diane.

di39,

It's recommended to check-in 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. It's impossable to say if you are going to be delayed or not until the day of your flight. OHY aren't the most punctual airline though.

just back from Antalia. as expected [thanks to daz and the boys] an airbus :tup fairly modern airframe appeared well maintained, shame No IFE , flight ex Gatwick on time arriving just early, return 10 mins delay on the ground awaiting turn to depart, arrived about 15 mis off scheduled time, long flight though, i think they took the furthest north route they could, crossed the coast at Margate.. had me confused when i have flown back from the east med before we usually cross the coast between Bournemouth and Worthing and flight time considerably less.. that having been said the crew were polite and well groomed and the flight uneventfully

Hi Brian,

I hope Turkey treated you well and you left plenty of Efes and red wine for the rest of us yet to travel! I'm glad your flights were ok. Better than the usual Boeing? There's some strong head winds at the moment which would have slowed things up for you. It's great if you're crossing the pond though, flights are zooming along with a bit of wind up their jacksies!

I hope so, I always find it causes issues with so little leg room.

I have been monitoring the flighst in and out of Manchester for the last 6 weeks or so, I have found that landing at Manchester they are quite punctual, it always seems to be their departure that is delayed as an example this morning OHY4379 landed 36 minutes early but took off 29 minutes late, it seems to be a reoccuring pattern, I think Air Traffic Control are giving priority to scheduled flights.

There are three Onur air flights tomorrow morning to Dalaman, I will check them all but I am sure I will see the same.

That doesn't happen. They have a slot allocation like any other flight. If they are over 30 minutes later than their departure time, they have to apply for a new slot like any other airline. Just because they are a charter flight doesn't mean they are less important. They pay the same fees to use the airport / sky!

My son flew with Onur air from Cardiff to Dalaman. Outbound 16th July - Inbound yesterday. Both flights on time.

Checked this morning at Manchester and found the following:-

OHY379 Arrived from Dalaman 59 minutes late OHY380 departed Manchester 131 minutes late
OHY5436 Arrived from Dalaman 9 minutes early OHY1380 departed Manchester 142 minutes late
OHY387 Arrived from Dalaman40 minutes early OHY388 departed Manchester 118 minutes late

So two planes landed into Manchester before schedule but still took off about two hours late however the other flights to Dalaman were all delayed so maybe it's holiday congestion in the air.
