Did you make a complaint to your First Choice rep at the hotel/resort, please?

Hi Peter,
Yes, I did and gave First Choice, all copies, but they reckon they did not receive anything from me in September, so I did send them again this year, but they will not do anything due tothe time limit which I feel is appalling,as it was not logged they reckon it has not been received.

Sorry Lorinda I misread your joining date and assumed you knew.

I doubt there is anything you can do unfortunatly as you have left it 10 months to chase it up again. And tour operators have it in there terms and conditions a time scale in which you are to complain.
Sorry this may not be what you want to hear.

So sorry you had such a dreadful holiday, its so disappointing when this happens and you have spent a lot of money.

Unfortunately I am inclined to agree that by complaining in September 07 and then not following up until July 2008, there maybe little hope of you getting anywhere with this.

The general advice on holiday complaints is to fill in a written complaint form while in resort and then follow up in writting immediately on return from holiday. You give them 28 days to respond and then write again and so and so forth on until you get the outcome you are hoping for or a compromise you are willing to settle for.

You also need to date and keep copies of all correspondence and send letters with either proof of posting or signed for, also keep the envelopes of the letters they send to you as they will have a date on them.

Some people end up at the small claims court and all relevant paperwork is required for this.

hi sorry to hear of your problems i would have thought they would have rectified this problem by now we went there a few years ago and they were having problems with the food then they had a trouble shooter in to learn them to cook the food this came from the said troubleshooter he said he would not eat there well a few days into the holiday i came down with the worst case of food poisoning i have ever had, was so ill i had to have the doctor she had to keep coming to the room to give me injections, obviously first choice denied there was a problem but we knew different the snack bar by the pool was storing raw and cooked meat together and were not washing there hands after smoking it was appalling, i think we had about £200 back we would not return to this place, which is a shame because it was fine before they decided to change to all-inclusive. good luck i think you will need it against first choice.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, First Choice, said there was problems with chefs then, the food was, well, disgusting,I complained to First Choice, but said all was being done to rectify this, but obviously not,we ate out most of the time, its intersting to hear that were problems that far back and First Choice had done nothing to improve the situation,I won't give up without a fight, thanks again.

I took so long to get b ack to First Choice, as I knew they would have had lots of complaints,it was appalling, I even took pictures,I admit I should not have let it go that long, but I lost my job, thankfully I got another one and before I knew it time had gone, but its the fact they are denying received my letters they emailed me and said they do not wish for me to take it further so that makes me feel something is definately wrong, thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply it really is appreciated.
