Anyone know when FC bring out their long-haul Winter 09 flights/holidays out - I always thought it was about now but nothing available online yet?

Many thanks

Hi

Does anyone know whether FC will be doing their 'your booking' facility for holidays after May 2009. Just got back from Mexico this morning and itching to book my next holiday but only way we can afford it is to be able to pay it off bit by bit.

Thanks for any help :)

Danielle, could you not book it through a First Choice travel agent (get them to match the online price) and then after paying the deposit you can pay the shop weekly, monthly, or whatever suits?

Hi Danielle,
It may be worth just putting the money to one side anyway.
If you have the bulk ready, you may be in a position to get a better deal by choosing the right time.

I have just booked an FC holiday, weeka AI in Sharm in December. On the Monday they were showing as over £660 per person, on the Tuesday they were showing as £360.

In the past we have saved hundreds on Thomson and FC holidays by being flexible with our dates and waiting for suitable prices to appear. It also helps that we are not tied to destination, other than by reviews.

Hi all,

Is there anyone on this forum who works at FC?
Or, is here anyone who can please tell me how can I reach FC by phone? We have a very serious problem in contacting them.

I am from Bucharest, Romania, and when we have booked the holiday we were 5. Now another person would like to join us, but it seems is impossible to call them and make this modification

There is no way to call at the number from their website (0871 200 7799 )from abroad , simply it does not work(maybe because is a paid service).
They have sent me another number, which indeed works 00441617454001. A nice lady is answering, but cross my heart, today I have waited in the phone 34 minutes without answering anything. Then this nice lady answered again and told me, that she will try to make me a new connection. After 26 minutes of waiting at the phone I hanged up.

This is the second time it happens this way. I really don't want to pay hundreds of EUR, trying to contact them and to add another person (so more money for them)

This really drives me crazy. I am quite sure that they easily answer at first number which has higher rates, but from abroad this number cannot be called. :rage

PS: I have tried by mail, and at some point someone answered, but directed me to the same impossible phone numbers as above!

Please help :bow

Regards,
Bogdan

In my experience you had to catch them early in the morning before everyone else does.

If you booked on the web, I think they will make you use the phone to make any changes, however, if you can find a direct number to a First Choice shop, you could phone them and ask their advice.

I mention that because when I booked my last Thomson holiday, I used the call lines and was put through to a shop in the middle of "nowhere near me", who handled my booking, as well as other follow up enquiries and ticket forwarding. Now Thomson have taken over First Choice, FC may be able to do something similar.

good luck

Thanks for tips guys! Finally this morning we managed to catch them. The bad news, is that the lady misunderstood and instead of Mrs X si wrote MR X.
Now we have to call again

Thanks for the help :D We are going to book in the travel agents, does anyone know if you can make telephone payments if you book in the shop? Our nearest first choice is a bit far and wouldnt like to keep going monthly or whenever to pay in the shop :)

Watch out with the telephone payments. Most of the numbers I have seen are all 0871s so you are nearly up to a £1 by the time you have heard the first 2 or 3 menu options!

I have booked a holiday with our local First Choice Shop and at the top of my paper work booking summary with departure date and reference No.
Underneath that it states'View your booking, check flight times, ticket status or make a payment - log on to myholiday.travel.co.uk (no WWW's). :tup

Easy to pay via telephone at your local shop, just ask them for their local telephone number.

Does anyone know if first choice will soon be offering their low deposit scheme on bookings for after May 2009? At the moment for holidays before May 2009 it is only 25pound per person but for after May its 100!!

Hi all,

Does anyone know why the myholiday.travel.co.uk website is no longer working? First Choice tell me that I booked through a travel agent (funny, it was a big shop with First Choice written over the door) and can't help me. Is there another website they now use?

Thanks

Dan
