Hi I wouldnt risk not wearing long pants in the a la carte restaurants as one of our party got sent out to change he felt embarrassed. Afterwards someone got in with shorts un noticed this was very annoying to us. You can wear anything in the buffet restaurants. Have a great time
I wonder if the rule is below knee shorts ok, but above the knee is not permitted.
We never had any problems with the restaurants. My only bug bear was that people who were coming up from the pool to the main restaurant at lunch time were coming in with a sarong or something similar on and being soaking wet underneath. I sat down on one seat and it was drenched right through.
I saw people who were in their going home clothes with soaking wet bums because some unconsiderate person had sat down with a wet bikini/shorts on before them.
Please have some consideration and dry off before coming into the restaurants. It's only manners at the end of the day.
Hi the person refused entry to the indian in our party was wearing pants half way between his knee and the floor, I wouldnt risk it its very embarrasing if it happens to you. 13 days to go to Fuerteventura
well i enquired before hand, and was told shorts were ok, in any of the a la carte restaurants, we went in the indian and med ones, with no problem,
We are so excited we have 7 weeks to go today seems so long though
we cant wait have almost packed
But we only have 6 weeks 6 days as we leave to go to Gatwick on the Sunday and staying at the premier inn just had a quick look on the Gatwick site to see when the pubs open see we have Never flown before and i am s**ting it
is there anyone else that is going on the 1st Dec ?
can anyone tell me what the weather ( TEP ) might be like
and as for the adult only bar if you sit at the top can you see your children are they in safe hands if you was to leave them in the kids club just to go have a look at the bar my children are 12 and 10
and i am a bit worried about what i have read on the luggage being over on the way home and some people have said they have paid up to £40 for it can you ask them to weigh it in front of you if there is a problem as i have checked mine and i have 1 large 1 med and 1 very small and were aloud 80kg as there are 4 of us and were well under this
well i hope that everyone that is going soon have a great time over there very jealous as its not me lol have a great time
bye 4 now

Just wanted to reply to the person that was worried about overweight luggage. Mine and my partners luggage were both 25 kilos each and first choice didn't bat and eyelid on the way out. I think we were lucky though.
Beware at the airport on the way home. When my sister put her suitcase on the scales the bloke pressed a button and it added an extra 2 kilos on even before she had put the case on. She didn't get charged though because the systems had gone down and everthing was being done in a rush.
Also my boyfriend lost his hand luggage bag there because of the amount of people and luggage around. We were lucky that it had been handed in. Just be careful as the airport is rammed and it is very easy to loose luggage.
Just back last night and can honestly say BEST holiday ever.
Will put review on asap.
One thing for everyone to note though - I spoke to Ramy Morris at reception as we were checking out to thank him for all his help etc. and he asked if I could let everyone know that unless you have booked a swim up room, there are none free until mid February so don't email him for an upgrade as he has none to give!
He apologises for this and said best time to email for any type of room change/block request is 1 week to the day you arrive.
hope this helps everyone
Lara
p.s it was very hot day and night but as we left the pools were starting to get very cold
Hey Lara
This time next week , we'll be there...i can't wait...i booked it 12 months ago and i can't believe it's almost time to go..has anyone recently returned , are the pools still warm and more importantly what is the sea like? , i know the daytime temps have dropped to a mere 30c but has that had an effect on the water temp
and the sea was warm too
when we got back a week today, the pool water was warm enough to swim in without having to go in slowly over the tummy
and the sea was warm too
Sounds good to me , the nights are still pretty warm/mild (min of 21c) so i wouldn't imagine the water will cool down too much..the last 3 years we have been to Fuerteventura (x2) and Cyprus at this time of year and it has been comfortable to swim there, so hopefully Egypt will be at least as warm
it was 32 on a night when we were there and anything upto 50 in the day (according to the clock in naama bay)
have a fab time, am dead jealous.
we were in fue last march and egypt was way hotter
I am thinking of booking this holiday village for next year. Can anyone give me some information please:
Firstly We are going as a group (13 kids all teenagers), is there anything for teenagers to do on an evening and is there a disco or something for them?
Also we not sure best time of year to go, end of May/June? how hot would it be then?
Lastly, is there any watersports on the beach?
Many thanks.
Sue
Hi Sue we were at the holiday village in September and it was fantastic i had my tenage son with me and he really liked it there is a kids club for the older kids from 9 years up called the Wavelength which he went to some of the time but the entertanment was that good him and his friends stayed to watch that most nights !! i didnt see many watersports at our beach but i didnt go down the beach that often so maybe im wrong the weather will be hot!!! we came back 6th October and it was really hot then so i can only imagine what May or June would be like best holiday i have had and already booked for next year. hope that helped
I hope this isn't a silly question, but, do the swim up rooms have steps to get out at each room, or do you have to hoist yourself up on to the side, in which case is it quite shallow at the edge?
If anyone can enlighten me I would be grateful
Thank you.
Deb.
There are no water sports at the HV or anywhere along that beach as it's protected because of the coral.
as you come out your room, there is a table and chairs, then your sun loungers, and a gentle slope, it starts at nothing then goes to about 4' on the other side, you can just lie in it, near the sun loungers. as you go farther in, about the middle there are a couple of steps, you can sit on, no there are no steps near your room, hope that puts you at ease
jeppo
Think we have decided on end of april for 2 lovely weeks, just need to get it booked.
Thank you again jeppo.
