Elliebee, don't worry about your tickets until tomorrow, ours arrived today but my parents haven't, although their letter re the luggage did. I would expect their tickets to arrive tomorrow. It really does seem real now, I'm getting sooooo excited!, just like a kid at Christmas
Well no tickets, have got a letter from Travel Agent to get them at the airport, but have got the letter for the extra but of luggage,
i havent contacted First Choice regarding the luggage allowance but have received a letter from this morning stating as i booked early from the 1st edition brochure that my luggage allowance will be 25kgs, i have to take the letter they sent to check in who will increase my allowance to 25kgs.
To me this is to much as i tend to travel light but im sure i can fill my case up with trivia.

we've also received a letter from First Choice this morning saying they will honour the 25kg as originally stated as we booked early.
All we have to do is take the letter when we check in.
It's worth contacting them to save any grief at the airport.

We have recieved a letter stating that we would also recieve a 25kg allowance as we had booked from the first edition (online) of the brochure. We did not realise that we had, so yesterdays letter was quite a suprise as we had not contacted first choice about it.
just like to say a big thank you to all those who have contacted first choice and made them aware of there error and as a result others are also benefitting.
My wife may not be taking her full allowance out with her but you can sure bet there wont be a spare gramme left in either case on our return, Just hope Dabolim check in dont cause a problem over the 25kg.

I also contacted FC in October as the allowance in the brochure was 25kg but when tickets came throught it said 20kgs - my local FC said that the allowance was 20kg for cases and 5kg hand luggage making 25kgs.

I also got a letter from First Choice telling me that since I'd booked early from the first brochure they would give me 25Kg checked in luggage. I guess that's because all the complaints from other folk - since going somewhere hot I personally really don't need all that stuff!. However since I've got it, like everyone else, I'll probably use it.
I just hope that now there's maybe 300 people with an extra 5Kg - which my maths says is an extra 1.5 tonnes of junk - that the plane will actually manage to get (and stay) up in the air!!

I was thinking the same thoughts I hope someones told them to put extra fuel in
WE booked for the maldives over a year ago noticed the luggage allowance had been changed on the online booking but never phoned to question it. So well done to all those who did..Its means we can take the cushions for the sunloungers now (Not provided at resort) Does anyone know if we can spilit this extra allowance into 3 bags between the 2 of us. Or we are only alloweed 1 piece of luggage each (discounting hand luggage)
We are off to the Maldives on the 19th of dec to celebrate our 25th wedding aniversary and my 50th birthday.. Husband lost his job after working for the same firm for 19 years 3 weeks ago Just as well holiday balance was paid or we would of cancelled. Hope I can enjoy the holiday and somehow switch of all the troubles back home of paying the morgage, bills and how on earth my husband going to find another job.

My tickets state the same as yours 30 kilos to be checked into the hold and no single bag to weigh more than 32kg.
Looks like the OH won't have to have all my shoes in his case for once.
I won't be taking any where near 30kg but I am worried that if I go over 23kg they might be awkward at check-in.
