Thankyou everyone, i will keep checking online and phoning, really like the look of kingfisher all the way, will have to wait and see when i can find my dates (to early at the moment), i was given a price by one travel agent for kingfisher but not knowing what the prices were last year only with Etihad who we booked with, have nothing to go by,dont wont to use Etihad as you have to stop over in mumbai and would rather go straight onto Goa. I will let you all know when i have booked the flights.problem is i dont have great patience and like to get it booked early. :rofl Gel

Hello all,

I'm very happy to say I'm off to India, and more specifically Goa, for the first time at the end of this month. The Virgin Atlantic flight I'm about to book from Heathrow lands in Mumbai at 11:40 in the morning. The next flight I'm also looking at booking with Jet Airways flies from Mumbai to Goa at 14:40 the same day. Would this 3 hour gap be enough time to comfortably make the connection??

If anyone has any ideas/experience as to whether this is enough time (or tips in general) that would be great! :tup

Many thanks,

Pat :cheers

This is more than enough time. In my experience a couple of hours should be sufficient.

We transited over from International ro domestic in November From exiting the plane, picking up baggage, scanning it,and getting the transit bus over, it was just over three hours, and I spoke to several people in Goa, who had experienced a similar time for the transit, so I would say 3 hrs is the absolute minimum to allow yourself Alan

BlueP 3 hours should be fine anything less ... iffy!!! talking from experience...having missed 2 connections in mumbai over the years!! but Kingfisher apparently has a very quick turnaround... they are only allowing my son partner and baby one hour 50 mins :yikes i was horrified, but have spoken to people who tell me it is working so? great!! i booked the flights but then kingfisher changed the mumbai to goa flight for an earlier one!! as its all through i am not too bothered as they will have to make sure they make it (KF) as it was their flight time change

Lets hope we land on time as we have 3hrs to get to domestic, can you get a taxi ? or is there just the shuttle :think
thanks Ann :)

It depends on quick you get your cases and through immigration but 3 hours should be ok. Theres a prepaid taxi booth if you turn right ...transit bus left hand side, it was 150 rups in December when we arrived, our cases were last off and the queue for the bus was massive, I was dying for a fag so it was 150 rupees well spent for me.

We must have been really lucky as it's never taken more than an hour an a half. Landing early in the morning probably helps too.

Thank you both , at least the taxi is there if pushed for time

Thank you all - Ann, it looks like we'll need to get our skates on and just be lucky with time!
