Thanks for all the info. Very helpful
Do you really think Bahamas will compare favourably to Palladium, djwoody? We have walked round the Palladium cos we went to see Doris the lifeguard the year before last and it was a higher standard than I would think possible for Bahamas, when they put our price up to £2800 it was only a few pounds cheaper than the Palladium,we also had no guarantee that all the rooms would be finished by May.We decided to cancel, perhaps when it's finished and all the facilities are shown we may try it but unless they buy the land next to the hotel and also the beach bar I think the Palladium will have more to offer for my money. If you visit again this year I would really like to know what you think of it,we're off to Cyprus in August but will miss Ibiza.Tina.
i know the Palladium is the hotel to really be at.what i mean is with the algarb not so good as it was.more people are booking the Bahamas.or Tress sirenis.
Does anybody know what TO uses the Bahamas I was told Thomas Cook but haven't been able to find it on their site, thanks,Tina.
i was there last year and told it was bookings with Thomas Cook.but they may have changed tour ops.google it and look.i will to try to find out.let us know
I was told Thomas Cook, too but it isn't available with them,I googled it but no tour operator came up.I won't be going for a while so it's just curiousity really.T.
Does anyone know if I can pay for the all inclusive upgrade in fiesta hotels with my fiesta points.
yes you can cash you points in for drinks vouchers.not a/i bands.
Where on the Fiesta website can I find out exactly what my points are worth and if they are worth saving up for something else?.
i know 14 points is room till 6pm/7pm.= 36 euro.
21 is drinks vocher or gift.28/+then it goes to fiesta packs and fiesta tracksuit.
90+ gets you a free week.which i have taken by booking diy.
but the change the gifts every year,i forgot to pick a list up lastweek.
not many know about the points.but well worth getting them.you must take either your old book.or card with you if you have any points from other hols you have taken with fiesta
Bahamas is thomas cook.
Has anyone just returned from a Fiesta hotel and upgraded to A/I Premium. What drinks are included when you upgrade to A/I Premium. Are bottled beers and alcopops included in this also?.Thanks for any replies in advance.
Can anyone tell me if you pay with a credit card to upgrade to A/I does Fiesta charge a commision rate and if so do you know what it is?.
Thanks
ask first but my guess is no comission.i pay my hotels bill with my card and never seen comission on it.only card i got robbed with with natwest gold years ago.what a rip off
Yes you can use a credit card to pay for AI in the Fiesta hotels, we did this last year. We have a Post Office credit card as you don't get charged commission on overseas transactions like other credit cards do. We had a good exchange rate too when the transaction was on our statement! Was so much easier than taking all the cash for the AI.
When I looked on the Fiesta website a few weeks ago, they listed their hotels in the various countries - or so I thought. However when I was in Playa Den Bossa the following week, I found several more Fiesta hotels that the website didn't mention. Is it like this in other countries? Here is why I ask...
Each year I go to Ibiza with some friends, and so far we have stayed in Tanit, Milord, Don Carlos and Don Toni (twice), mainly because I know the entertainment team will be good, I know the food will be good, and I know that if I pick carefully, there will be lots of nice families (I like having all the kids running about, reminds me of my parents house ) However I would also like to visit some similar Fiesta hotels elsewhere in Europe, for example in Majorca / Minorca, Portugal, Canaries etc. Do Fiesta have other hotels in these places that are not listed on their website?
good thing about Fiesta you know your going to get a quality hotel.which ever you stay in.
the 4 in Majorca are nice as well.
'good thing about Fiesta you know your going to get a quality hotel.which ever you stay in.'
Precisely. I find the food etc is exactly the same in all of them. There are only really 3 things I look for before booking a Fiesta hotel:
- location (both resort itself, and positioning in resort - Milord was quite far from San An West End for example)
- nature of guests - some are adults only, or tend to cater for 18-30s etc
- layout - some can be a bit crowded (eg. Tanit in Cala Gracio has very little space outside)
Other than that they seem to operate according to a pretty rigid (but good quality) template.
