I can't remember the actual seat row assigned for medical seats on the ex-FCA; I know it's row 6 on the ex-TOM's. I have a feeling it's row 1 in the premium cabin (the only full bulkhead row), but don't quote me on that. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA might be able to give you the specifics.

I'm off from Luton to Cyprus (Paphos) on 1 April on Flight No. TOM5433/5434. Can anyone tell me what plane I'll be on and let me have a seating plan if possible
Thanks
Jill
LTN-PFO-LTN (TOM5433/4) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for further details.

Thank you Darren. Thought it might be of help at check-in to see where the extra legroom seats are located and where the decided to seat me!
hopefully it should be bookable soon...
Thanks for the update. That's pretty much what we've been expecting; once Thomson Airways commences in May, things should settle and seat selection re-introduced. Aircraft plans from what I've seen are pretty much sorted now, ie which varient of the 767 is being used on what route so there's no reason why they can't bring it back. I'm sure they are desperate to do it as much as passengers given it's an excellent revenue stream.

Does it make any difference where you can sit on the aircraft if you don't choose the option of have having the meals...? ie if you have meals you can sit at the front , otherwise your to the rear of the aircraft.... We've already pre-booked seats together and i'm not sure if it's worth paying for the select your seat service as we don't want the food due to night time flights....??? Therefore we'll be towards the rear of the aircraft anyway....??
Cheers,
Ash....
Opting for the meal or not does impact on where you'll be allocated seating. If you book meals, you'll be in the forward grouping. If you don't select meals, you'll be towards the rear. This helps keep everyone together to make the logistics of the meal service easier. Unless you want to be sat in a specific seat, there's no point selecting your seat.

Having looked at the meal options for long haul on ex-FCA, can anyone tell me if it's possible to book different meals as it is with some airlines such as healthy options etc? Many Thanks.
emmacat....fantastic description of bigdave lol!
You're pretty much stuck with the meals (choice of two). There's a limited number of vegetarian meals and you can request glutan free etc, but these must be pre-ordered by contacting the airline.

Hi does anyone know what the meals will be on TOM401 on 05/04/09 because I'm not usually in to plane food so I wondered what I would be eating?! Also can anyone tell me what the number of aircraft is like at Birmingham Airport because I've never been and I usually go from Manchester which obviously has a lot going on!
iwonder if anyone can help,we have just booked our holiday to goa for next year with thomsons/first choice, the price has gone up ahuge amount since last year and it seems most people are opting to travel with other companies even though the flights are with monarch, they are much cheaper,my worry is that could thomson cancel flights if they can`t fill seats

Hi Darren
Just want to mention that normally what you say is true, but they (Thomson) go a little crazy at times, well IMO most of the time.
Just been to Alicante, no flight meal booked.
On outbound journey allocated seats in row 25, on inbound journey allocated seats in row 11.
Sanji
Unless bookings are seriously down (unlikely to Goa), it's very unlikely flights will be cancelled so I wouldn't worry. If they can't fill their allocation of flights / hotels, prices will start to drop to encourage bookings.
Darren
There's always an exception to the rule! It depends on how many passengers have booked meals. If only a handful of people have booked them, then only the first few rows will be allocated for meals. Row 11 still means there's 60 passengers infront. Every flight is different in that respect.

I am flying Thomsonfly from Gatwick to Cancun on July 18th, flight TOM078, return TOM079.
Can someone tell me if this will be an ex-TOM or ex-FCA flight ?
Also, I have upgraded to premium and would like to know which seats to reserve if possible.
Thanks. Great site.
Welcome onboard
Your flights, LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM078/9) are operated by an ex-FCA aircraft. At present, you can't reserve specific seats in the premium cabin on ex-FCA aircraft. This will hopefully change after May. Seats are pretty much the same so it's personal preference really. Some don't like row 1 which are bulkhead seats and you can't strech your legs out as much. You'll find further aircraft information over on our What Aircraft? thread.

I am flying Bham - Cancun on TOM 662 which you confirmed some time ago as being a first choice ..is there anyway that I can check my booking detail on line?
