As a student you are maybe used to roughing it so I am going to be positive and say at a push you could live on £300 but you are going to have to penny-pinch these are my tips (btw you have not said where you are staying hotel B&B or self catering?)

Starting at the airport take your own rolls, sandwiches, crisps for meal at airport and for plane.. enough to cater for delays what you dont eat you can devour when you have arrived and unpacked (I'm always peckish then and always take a packet of M+S sausage rolls) and another good tip is to buy some cartons of juice, freeze them and pack them in your suit case they will be nice and cool on your arrival.

Take with you for example... tins of corn beef, tuna, ham, tin opener plastic knives and forks ( at M+S free by the food to go ) and a few tubes of pringles if you like them (they will all save you money in the long run) and some tinfoil and a couple of plastic glasses.

At the airport get some bottled water to drink on plane and SAVE the small bottles dont throw away!!!
If you want to push the boat out and have a vodka on the plane buy a bottle of coke from Boots or
WH Smith to go with it (coke is expensive on plane for a tiny tin)

I would not chance buying vodka on the plane (incase they have none) I would buy it at the airport not sure what the offers are this year but last year Manchester were doing 5 litre of vodka for £35 (enough to get pi**ed every night (if you are a typical student AND bring some home) that might seem a lot to spend on booze but remember it would last you both for the whole fortnight. You would spend more than that on one night out!!! Just doing all the above could save you a fortune before you leave the country!!!

On arrival go to the largest supermarket use the dolmus and stock up if you are self-catering. Buy the largest bottle of water you can carry and decanter every day in the bottles you have saved that should save you a few bob, buy the bread every day it is yummy and fruit from your nearest market when you are almost out of money you could have tomatoes on bread I am drooling thinking of their toms and bread!!!

Never eat on the front.. you will find these places very expensive.. never order a soft drink very expensive (on a budget) try and order water and eat in Turkish back streets... last year a vodka coke was 7 lira.

Just ask when you decide where you are going and let us all know and we can help you!!! and always ask if you are not sure of prices in resort. If you take food with you that will do you for some lunch time meals and picnics,more you take the better!!!

Boat trips are fantastic value about £10 for the day (shop around) but NEVER BUY a drink take your own water with you!!!

Coming home dont forget your food for the airport plane split a loaf and fill with cheese.

Where ever you choose you will have a fantastic time I can promise you that... and I am sure when your student days are over and you are in your "well paid" job this will be one of the holidays you will remember for the rest of your life.
