Can anybody tell me whether the shower heads are fixed to the wall at the Sahara Beach now? I'd read reports that they were loose hanging, we had this in Greece once and it gets a bit annoying so if they're still loose hangers I'll buy a sticky fixer rto take with me.

There is wireless wifi but u have to buy the code from rec at a cost of 10 dinar per hour. In certain parts of the grounds of hotel u can pick up a free one..

The bars are all nice. We usually go to the piano bar for a drink on the way to dinner as it is closest to the restaurant. Seating is inside and out so if the weather is nice u can sit out. I find the staff all really nice if you are nice to them. We know most of the animation team at this stage but in the summer there are a lot more of them because they have an italian team and a german team. Sem , Nino ,Ahmed,Kamaro,Rico are some of the all year round animation team and are all very hard working.Sem spent a month with us last year in ireland and will hopefully do the same this year.

im just back from my first visit to tunisia and the sahara beach hotel, already planning another trip I liked it so much
hotel very clean, staff lovely, pools great weather hot,food plentyfull and hot, hotel entertain good for kids bit dull for adults, all round just a great chill out hoilday
just went on one trip the rep show cost £20 each per adult price includes 2 drinks beer wine soft drink was a good night my tip if you drink spirts bring your own i did i think without a drink, the show would have been a let down
knew a couple that went on the sahara explorer , price isnt includeing camel ride, spent 14 hours over 2 days on bus , and the overnight hotel was sub standard.
about the showers mine was a fixed head but the water ran over tub and soaked the floor,so i just sat down in bath to wash or had a bath

Im off to the sahara beach on june 24th and was wandering if anyone has a contact that i could email to request an upgrade to a suite as i believe these rooms have televisions and tea making facilities or something like that?

Been to this hotel 4 times and going back 28th June for two weeks, i know some of the reviews for this hotel have been bad but if you go with an open mind like we did you may be pleasantly surprised

Well have a good holiday and give us a full report when you get back , maybe some pictures, also if you find where i can pick up the wi fi without paying let me know, oh and can you book the tv in the bar for me for the when the english footy is on lol.
Will try and find out about the wi -fi , as for the footy it all depends which foreign tv stations are showing football, mainly french or german channels picked up in the bar, no sky at least not last year.
will give a report on holiday when i get back , but seeing as this is my forth time at this hotel i pretty much know what i will be doing and when playing volleyball 4 - 5 hours a day for a start, i actually lose weight on holiday and i eat more than ever too 
, will also go horse riding and generally laze about enjoying the weather.
Will get pics as well.
Cant wait to get back there and totally switch off

i have been looking at this hotel for next year, but the brochures for 2010 no longer mention the iberostar brand, does this mean it wont be run by them next year??? any thoughts anyone? thanks again x
