Thanks Chilly......have you seen where the bad weather is now

Torrential downpours and thunderstorms battered Britain over the weekend as parts of the country saw two months worth of rain in half a day.... and there's more to come

Two months of rain in half a day as lightning and flash floods hit Britain
Heavy rain accompanied by lightning swept across the south during the weekend bringing flash-flooding to Devon, Somerset and south Wales.
Two caravans, destroyed this morning when lightning struck them at Corfe, Dorset
Exeter saw almost four inches of rain fall in just over half a day, trapping a number of cars in flood water.
Thousands of families were left without power in the West Country today following the downpours.

Hi Chilly

I find it very hard to believe HT won't let allow genuine weather or news links to the Daily Mail.

I site I have sent you a PM with them. I hope your family are all OK

It is NOT HT that won't allow links to the Daily Mail. If you read their T&C's you will see that it is the Daily Mail that does not allow links to their site.

Don't know where the media got 4 inches of rain in Exeter from, more like 2 inches (which was bad enough) and terrible thunder and lightening, I also only heard of one car getting stuck in Exeter (so slightly exagerated possibly)! The lane where I work was pretty bad though and added to by water "run off" from fields so I was lucky to get up the lane, later in the day the police did put there blue and white tape across each end of the lane to prevent traffic going through. It was quite freaky though as it seemed to be a band of bad weather which just crossed over one part of Exeter, when I got down to the M5 roundabout.........about a mile and a half away from work............nothing, ground was a bit wet thats all, half a mile back up at Exeter Vale Tesco.............absolutely persisting down. Got back to Sidmouth and it was as dry as a bone.............but we got a darn good soaking later in the day :) Couldn't believe that just 24 hours before it was bordering on unbearably hot - freaky eh!!!!!!!!!
