lukee0705,
If you've not ordered a meal, you won't get one. Of course mistakes happen, but it's not normally the case. Passengers who have meals are normally seated at the front or if they've pre-allocated seats in different parts of the aircraft, cabin crew have the passenger manifest with who's booked what.

Thanks Darren & z.j.c... only asked because my parents flew back on a 767 last friday, I was being naively optimistic
All the aircraft details are on our What aircraft? guide and I've posted cabin and aircraft photos as well as my trip reports. They don't have seat back IFE, they have drop down LCD screens above the seats.
Darren
I posted back in February asking what aircraft and the seat configuration for the following flights:
LGW to Aruba
19th Aug
TOM082
Aruba to LGW
2nd Sept
TOM083
In light of the recent changes of aircraft just wondering if this is still and ex-first choice 767 aircraft.
Many thanks
Nicola
From what I can see the flight is operated by a Ex First Choice aircraft and has been up till the 24th of this month.
This would mean the seating would be 2-3-2 throughout the aircraft.
Is the flight was to change to a Ex Thomsonfly it would be seating
2-3-2 in premium
and
2-4-2 in Economy.
It doesn't make that much difference but slightly extra room in the Economy cabin on the ex First Choice.
Dazbo did mention that one of the ex Thomsonfly based at Manchester will be operating Aruba flights so we will have to see if this affects your flight.
Ill keep you updated if anything else comes up that signifies a change.
Many thanks for the quick response.
To Update you as I promised todays flight to Arbua (TOM082) was in-fact operated on a Ex Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300 and not a Ex-First Choice so it does look as if this may be one of the affected flights.
Today it was operated by G-OBYI if you ask if a few weeks time we will be able to have a closer look for you.
If today's TOM082 was ex Thomsonfly, and in the understanding that there is only one long-haul Thomsonfly 767 operating in the fleet, was today's TOM126 to Punta Cana operated by an ex FCA ?
You might have missed the post where I posted details of the changes. The former Thomsonfly aircraft assigned for long haul routes will be operating from Manchester, so your flights from Gatwick won't change and still operated by a former First Choice aircraft. All long haul Gatwick flights are scheduled to be operated by the former First Choice fleet. The changes are currently in transission. I don't know why todays flight was operated by G-OBYI, but I expect it'll be a one off given the information I have.
Darren
I was just reading through my post then and noticed what I had put I had got Manchester and Gatwick mixed up. Sorry for my mistake I thought I had read you were flying from Manchester. Silly Mistake of mine
Is there an other way to get the IFE for the flight besides the guy who posts it on the forums?
Going on a Thomson flight to cyprus can you just pay for a meal one way thank you
When I rang thomson they said it was 12.00 to book seats togethewr then 5.00 each to book specific seats is this right
Is there an other way to get the IFE for the flight besides the guy who posts it on the forums?
Ina a short answer NO ... Thomson doesn't publish the IFE to the public and our Guy as you call him can only let us [that is ht members] know when he himself receives the bi monthly programming this is usually 7/10 days before change over [but may take longer if he is working] we are all very lucky to have such members

Are you booked on a one way ticket or a return? I don't see why you can't just book a meal on the flight you want one, but they may insist you book one for both flights if on a return ticket. That's because the booking is for a return ticket rather than two singles. If that's the case, just take sandwiches.
Darren
As Wizard mentions, unless you work for the airline like a certain member here does (thanks to BY-TOM-AMM-FCA), the information isn't released until passengers travel and forward on the listing. I've tried in the past to get the information prior to the end of the month from contacts, but airline employees aren't always privy to the listing until it's released on changover. Here it is though for July / August:
Longhaul outbound (Premium movies denoted by an *):
17 Again
Echelon Conspiracy
Hannah Montana The Movie
Monsters Vs Aliens
Paul Blart Mall Cop
Duplicity*
12 Rounds*
The Boat That Rocked*
Longhaul inbound (Premium movies denoted by an *):
Push
New In Town
Race to Witch Mountain
Madagascar 2
Marley and Me
The International*
I Love You Man*
Watchmen*

All long haul Gatwick flights are scheduled to be operated by the former First Choice fleet.
Hi...sorry but does that mean TOM094 on the 27th is now back to being an ex-FCA 767, it was ex-TOM last time I asked.
Cheers!
Bee
Things are in a state of flux at the moment as the 767 fleet is redeployed for the peak season. The information I have is long haul from Gatwick is going to be all ex-FCA with only one ex-TOM assigned for long haul, based in Manchester. That'll be happening in the next week or so. I can't give any guarantees because things are evolving, but that's the current information I have. Your flights should be ex-FCA
Darren
PS TOM094/5 has been an ex-TOM all summer season up to the end of June, but expect it to change
Thanks very much for the listings.
