Discussions regarding holidays in the Costa Blanca.
As far as I am aware, all the rooms are of the same size at this hotel except the single rooms which are near the pool and don't have a balcony. The rooms for 3 have an extra bed in and the ones for 4 have bunk beds. Hope that helps.

The room we were in, if I remember rightly, had an adjoining door, so perhaps this is classed as a quadruple??????

Thanks for your replies, I'll email the hotel and see what they suggest.

Just a couple of questions please, does anyone know how much a safety deposit box will be for a fortnight? also what time does the All Inclusive drinks finish?
I would love a pool view, are they good at granting requests by email.
Not long to go now so getting a bit excited.

Many Thanks... Caz

Hi Caz, we stayed for 11 nights in May/June and I think the safety deposit key was around €2 a day you also have to leave a deposit which is refundable which I think is €10.

All inclusive is till 12 but you can buy drinks until around 1am.

They seem to acknowledge requests at the Regente. We have stayed there twice now and got what we asked for on both occasions.

Thanks Sue, I think I'll email then, no harm in asking, I'm like a big kid - can't wait. :tup

I emailed them about a week before I went. I have been advised in the past that if you do it too early then it can get missed. I also try to stick a bit of Spanish in with my request, I think they appreciate it. and I tend to say how much I am looking forward to staying in there beautiful hotel (grovel grovel) and that I will bring them some chocolates from England. Well worth it IMO for the right room.

Have Fun. When do you go?

If anyone is interested I have just done a report.
We had a lovely holiday and the weather for the first 12 days was hot and sunny.
The Regente had turned off the air conditioning which didn't help. :hot

Hi all just read on another forum i use to read holiday reviews that the regente hotel has the norovirus bug back again ..I hope it doesnt last to long but manager has wrote into the forum and says its been an ongoing problem from winter mazza

Hi mazza, thats not what I wanted to hear, we are booked to go to the Regente for new year.

When we stayed there last Oct. there were a few people being sick for a couple of days, me included, but it obviously hasn't put me off booking again!!. Can't explain whats happening at the hotel because most people don't get it.
I don't drink much or over eat and am very careful with hand gel etc. but I had some sort of bug, but hubby was okay.

Lets hope they sort it out soon, but I bet the tour ops will be keeping quiet....Caz

Hi caz, its a shame because the hotel itself gets a good write up apart from the bug ...But when the manager writes on a forum and says its a ongoing problem from the winter you think more would be done..My family are due to arrive monday but travel agent will call back first thing in the morning see what can be done .. mazza

Its been an on going problem for years at this hotel. We were due to go October 2008= we were transferred to another hotel whilst the hotel closed for a few days to "Sort" this problem.

A few other members disagreed with it being a problem with the hotel- and put the problem down to individuals hygene habits, - but its only this hotel you seem to hear about regarding this bug/

Hi everyone, on the verge of booking a week in Benidorm for myself and 6yr old daughter. Have been looking at AI at The Regente Hotel. Can anyone tell me if the location of this hotel is convienent for the beach and shops for a wander around?. Also what is weather like on average in mid Oct ( school term break )?. Thank you.

Hi Aldente2010, the Regente is about a 10min walk to the beach. There's plenty of shops around the Regente, and the indoor market is only a few mins walk away. The weather is quite pleasant in October, usually sunny, but it can get a bit chilly of a night time.
The last time we stayed at the Regente (April this year) other guests were saying that the kids club was fantastic, and had nothing but praise for the reps who organised it.
