as has been previously said, you can get some good and some (very) bad quality fakes!
i got some really good miss sixty and diesel jeans fakes from marmaris - on the main rd across from kocer club apartments.
they fooled everyone and ive had them for 3 or 4 yrs, they wash great and look good.
and of course they arnt cheap to buy in blighty are they??!!
Looking at Olu Deniz next month and a market trip is a must - what is the going rate for a "Rolex Oyster" this year?
off to maramis tomorrow week my better half will be looking for some fakes for herself and our daughter who is nineteen, handbags, clothing, jewellery, watches, etc, etc oh yes and good quality new chelsea home and away tops for me.just wondering best places in or around maramis thanks for any help.only 4 more days to work then sun sea and drink
An example of a very good fake - we bought an turquoise Armani bag from a shop in Side. We saw the shop owners 'books' with the reccomended price (£260), and barginned it down to £120. It is definitely leather, and looks amazing. We have had people come up to us in the street asking us where we bought it - they all thought it was real. If I can remember the name of the shop, I will post it.
Most of the stalls are owned by the shop keepers so you are getting the same at the market as you are in the shops .Take Belek and Kadriye for instance the market is set up along the streets with rows of shops running along side them .If you ask for a certain item or size and they dont have it on the stall some of them will ask you to hold on and they will go into one of the shops and come back with what you want.
Have a good holiday and happy shopping.

7 lacoste t shirts for £10
both from under ground market in icmeler
fake automatic watches good ones for around £25-£35
I remember about five years ago buying three fake rolex watches in icmeler market for a tenner Brought back nine and gave them out for presents to the guys that worked for me ,you could also get ten baseball caps for a tenner ,if you haggled you could get twelve .
certainly in Hisaronu the market went on all night = they set it up about midnight on the Monday and it was on late into the night on Tues. Many of the stallholders are much more pushy than in the shops though so be warned and if you dont want to buy jewellery dont let them put any on you = i got caught out and was standing there with two ankle bracelets on, two bracelets on one arm and a whole arm full of bracelets draped over the over - try walking away like that! When i said i didnt want to buy the lady got very abusive.
i never use that market because of that same reason although this is now outlawed it still goes on
I have to say id avoid it next time too - its all in a tented area and theres a one way system to walk so you cant get out quick, you still have to go all the way round .. it felt like the sort of place someone would pinch your purse or wallet so you have to be on your guard and i didnt think the quality of the stuff was as good as the shops on the whole.
like others have posted be careful what you buy. my advice is if your going for 2 weeks buy on your first week take a note of the stall and people working on it so if what you have bought is not what you wanted take it back (i`ve done this on several occasions) never had a problem.
2 more sleeps and icmeler here we come (efes profits will rise)

I am looking for some nice designer jeans when I go to Icmeler in October. I have got my eye on some nice G Star Raw jeans in Greenhouse shop in Icmeler, but wondering if perhaps I could have a trip out to some Turkish town/city where there are not so many tourists around and perhaps grab a few bargains if I was buying a few pairs rather than one? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
It was quite funny because one day when we were in Bodrum recently he pretended to be Italian to see what price they would say and the guy in the shop said to his friend in Turkish "he is Italian start at twice the price" , when he told them he was actually Turkish they looked rather shame faced and he got his jeans really cheap
Are there any of these markets around Lara Bay?
The places I am talking about are near to Bodrum airport.
Haha, love the story about your Husband pretending to be Italian. Perhaps he could come shopping with me so I can get some real bargains
