Just checked on their website Mainy and it's letting me book 17th December so I can't see any problem. They also say it's exclusive to FC in the UK.
I think it may still be exclusive to first choice but it might not be classed as a holiday village. The brochure only goes up to october and next years one moves to the Flamingo appartments is there not a helpdesk number on the website that you can double check with????

The hotel in the Thomas Cook brochure isnt Sun Tropical, its the hotel next door called Sun Island.
Do they provide beach towels for AI guests?
what beds do they have in the AI rooms? as we will have 1 child permanently in with us and 2 x kids on occasion.
I'm getting so excited now, only 5 weeks
you'll be there same time as us
what ages are your kids? we have two girls 11 and 12? you won't miss me I'll be in a powerchair!
You can still book for here, if you look on the first choice website you can see it, so would also get the same deals instore. From April or May 2010, the first choice holiday village will be Flamingo, but up til then you can still book this place.
I have had different stories form First Choice about why they have not renewed. One person told me it was the hotel that didn't renew with them. Another said it is due to the merge of First Choice and Thomson and that FC are using the Thomson holiday village (or whatever it is they call it), another didn't give me any reason, but agreed with me that it was a bit worrying. I emailed my local FC agent and told her my worries, she said she'd checked their review centre (a special place where only travel agents leave reviews), she said there had been no reviews since June 09, but there was no bad reviews. My concern is that things have changed since then.
We may have wasted our money by changing, but we didn't want to take that risk.

A few years ago we had booked for HV in Turkey then I found this site and read lots of bad reviews about food poisoning and nearly cancelled. However the food there was fab (the best in a HV so far).
We went to HV in Eqypt last year and they had bad reviews most of which were un founded.
Looking forward to the holiday especially my son who loves the kids clubs.
Yeah we're the same, we did Turkey a couple of years ago too, loved it, only thing was it was very big which I found too much without a wheelchair so this year looking forward to having my powerchair to get around. We did algarve last year and the reviews were awful but it was one of the best holidays we've had. No where's perfect but it often has a lot to do with what you make of it.
we are going 8th oct can any one recomend any good excuersions that arent really expensive weve got 2 boys 13 and 16 thanks
