being a realist, i dont think you will get anywhere complaining about plastic glasses( they are in use in most AI's in europe, and yes the paying customers normally get proper glasses) or about lousy entertainment -one presons nightmare is another persons passion eg me and karaoke.
you may be able to get some compensation for the A/C not working, and your hassle of moving rooms, but you may have to send a few letters and spend some time for what i think would be no more than a voucher for money off your next holiday.
you did not mention the hotel or resort, and it could help other people in the future to know about this, and it is possible someone else had the same problems at this hotel , which could strengthen any claim you may want to make.

Got to agree with Jim re the glasses - how can it be glass if it is plastic? - But it does seem to be standard practice. Incidentally by law in the UK they are not allowed to serve drinks in glass when it is for consumption outside.

Entertainment? Well I for one always budget to go elsewhere when it is Karaoke night and am always pleasantly surprised when it is anything but an amateur offering, yet many do seem to enjoy it.

Did you complete a complaint form in resort? That always adds strength when making a complaint.

I do doubt if you will get very far unless you are prepared for a very long haul.

Don't think you would get very far either accept for maybe the ac. If you didn't fill in a complaint form in resort it will be like banging your head on a brick wall. It wil be in their t & c's that you have to do this. Also they work on the assumption that if it wasn't bad enough to complain at the time it wasn't having a negative effect on your holiday.

Judging from what you are saying about the A/C it seems that the unit probably needed re-gassing and perhaps the filters cleaning as well - a 30 minute job at the most. If the hotel had had these units properly maintained you should not have had a problem and if you did have a problem it could have been fixed quickly and not required a change of rooms. I do this stuff all the time and it's invariably down to poor maintenance. All A/C units should be serviced annually and filters cleaned every 4 - 6 weeks if the units are used constantly.
