thanks for the info Z.J.C. I will call them before we go, that will be early Jan. I did think in this cash strapped times that cut's in costs are a no brainer, but I though I would ask just in case anyone has travelled to Sanford in recent weeks an had an invite to the lounge.

I have booked premium seats on TOM118 to Barbados to link with P&O cruise on Nov 28. Can anyone tell me if I can use the exec lounge at Barbados and are the IFE films available yet? I have been told that the seats are not pre-bookable, is this correct?
Cheers
Like the discuss above where not sure if lounges are included at the minute the best thing to do is ring your tour operator. Like I said in Cancun the premium passengers were not permitted to use without extra payment.
The IFE has not been released and will be available at the end of October.
You can pre-book seats but Im not sure if you can with you booking a cruise and not a direct holiday with Thomson. Again best again to ring up Thomson Airways and speak to them about prebooking if you have a booking reference they give them a quick call.

Barbados, is such a packed airport on "cruise day" it is worth every penny, the airport is litterally hell with around 9 uk flights plus the usual caribbean/USA flights combined.
Seats on cruise charters haven't in previous years been bookable, because its a chargable extra and the flight is not actually on behalf of Thomson/First Choice, Thomson Airways cannot profit directly from the customers(with the exception of duty free)
We're flying from Manchester to Punta Cana on 25 November and returning the following week.
Can anyone tell us if it will be an ex Thomson or First Choice Plane?
Also we have booked the premium cabin, I am going to reserve seats nearer the time, which seats would be the best to reserve? Would prefer a window seat.
Thanks for any information!!
Welcome to the Forums, it does help if you post a flight number so we can find the information faster. At the present time there is due to be some changes in Winter with the aircraft in which some of the Thomson Airways aircraft will be reverted to Long Haul flying.
I would recommend you contact us closer to the flight time so we can update you on what has been operating the flight in the past weeks.
I would imagine it will be an ex-TOM 767-300 (G-OBYJ) as this aircraft is operating the flight at present, but this could change come the winter season with aircraft being returned to Long Haul flights. So check back with us closer to the time.
Seats in the premium cabin with Windows are all the "2" seats and any seats all have window views.

We were there a week and a half ago. The lounge receptionist has a list of all those passengers who have booked premium. If you are on the list, you're in. It is a godsend as the main waiting area gets very busy.
floridafan,
that's good news thanks for the info
Dreamliner57,
welcome onboard
LGW-AUA-LGW (TOM082/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (258 seats). You'll find further aircraft information including seating plans on our What aircraft? guide.

Also what happens if they have not used all the premium economy seats---do they upgrade people FOC?
Those days are long gone I'm afraid! They'll be onsale at check-in in the unlikely event of availability.

Does anyone know if the above flight is a version 1 or version 2 layout as therea re two alternatives ---flying Weds 16th Sept 2009
and any seats to avoid?
thanks
Thanks for the reply z.j.c. I'll ask again nearer the time.
There isn't much different from the two apart from the Locations of the Toilets they both seat the same amount of passengers in the same seating configuration.
There isn't really any seats I wouldn't say don't choose as they are all the same really offering the same legroom etc. Its mainly personal preference.

I'm flying to Holguin, Cuba with Thomson Airways on TOM 094 on Monday September 21st from LGW returning on Monday October 5th on TOM 095. Can you tell me if they are still using the ex Thomson Boeing 767's or have they reverted back to the ex First Choice 767's?
Could you please tell me if Tom6750 Bristol - Arrecife on 13th September is a First Choice flight and if so what aircraft is it please. I thought originally it was a Thomson 757 but not so sure now.
Many thanks
Sue
Flying from Birmingham to Sharm on 10th September TOM844.
Looking at earlier posts it seems like it's going to be a 757-200. Any ideas of the sectors the particular aircraft will be on beforehand to get an idea if it's going to be approx on time?
Cheers
Your flight will be a Thomson Airways flight, Thomsonfly and First Choice don't exist anymore due to the merger. As to which aircraft it will be - it will be a 757. There is very little difference in aircraft interiors from a customer perspective between the ex-First Choice and ex-Thomsonfly aircraft.
