Sorry, new here and a bit lost.
Booked fuerteventura from Manchester dec 2nd. Thomson 8am.
Myself and 2 children age 16 and 9.
9 yr old is disabled, Down Syndrome/Autism/adhd.
We havn't flown together before and I havn't flown for 20 years.
I am trying to pre plan everything and have asked for early boarding and we are checking luggage the day before to try and avoid the queues.
I've asked for extra leg room as disabled daughter has Hypotonia and together with the low muscle tone she has spasms and requires leg massage. She also needs help with toileting etc.
The autism and ADHD make her very anxious and that's why I need to plan and ask many questions.
1. How do we choose the right seat for her on the aircraft ( can we do this ) ?
2. Is there a disabled toilet with extra room in for changing her etc ?
3. I will of course provide as many activities for her as possible ( DVD player with spongebob, her favourite but only 2, 1/2 hr battery ) but is there likely to be IFE on a screen in front of us ?
4. She does not need a wheelchair but owing to her disabilities and learning difficulties, I need to hold her constantly so even retreiving luggage may be troublesome. My 16 yr old would have to take care of most of the luggage, Can I request help with this ?
5. If I make extra arrangements like early boarding etc. does this apply both journeys ?
I am sorry to ask so many questions but I don't know where to start.
Thank you
Pennylane
