Hi , we stayed in the corfu in jul and had a lovely time, but it was very busy so i think it
would be better still with only one hotel open and the skorpios has some really nice seaviews
im sure you would have a good time there and with less people around you probably wont have to take
part in the great sunbed race in the morning ! its a lovely hotel in a great spot so go and ENJOY!!!! we are looking at going back next year as we had such a lovely time and the resort though quiet is just enough.

We've just had 2 weeks at the Skorpios and enjoyed it. Apart from the rugby scrum for the sunbed from 7 a.m. that is when people put towels on chairs and then transfer them onto sunbeds at 9.am.

Never seen anything like it before = but if you cant beat them you have to join them haha

Its 7 weeks till we go,so e mailed hotel, and Alpha rooms who we booked through to find out which hotel we will be staying in out of the Corfu or Skorpios (need to book shuttle transfer),did not get a reply from Alpha rooms but Rosu hotels replied that we are booked into the Corfu at present but as the hotel is closed and they dont know if it will be open until 15 days before we are due to go they cannot confirm? Am a little concerned that I am going to end up without a hotel to stay in 2 weeks before we go,have no problem staying in the skorpios but e mail didnt say if we would be allocated if the Corfu is still closed,Rosu hotels are not, advertising the Corfu either. Can anyone shed some light?

Boots,
We were in the Corfu last year from 16th - 23rd May. This was the first week of opening for the season. The evening entertainment was in the Skorpios. This meant that it was busy in the evening. The day we came away, they were setting up the outside stage, for the summer.
We had friends who went out a few days before us, and they were in the Skorpios. They loved it.
I wouldn't worry, whatever hotel you are in, you will have a ball

Suppose it makes sense to only have one hotel open at the beginning of the season, glad you and your friends had a good time at both hotels!

We are due to make our 3rd visit to the Corfu in 4 weeks time on 10th May. Are people indicating that the Corfu will not be open then? :que

Hiya, the e mail I received from the hotel said the Corfu was due to open 15 days before we are due to go (May 23rd) but they cannot confirm this until then.I assume you will be put in the Skorpios?

Thanks Boots; think I will email them and ask to reserve our room number in the Corfu and see what response I get

Emailed them and just got a reply saying that "Your booking is at the hotel Skorpios , becasuse we don't know if the hotel Corfu will open for those dates..." I have to say having stayed at the Corfu twice in the last 3 years and having looked around the Skorpios it doesnt really bother me, as we have had two great holidays there and are looking forward to another one on the 10th May :sun2 ; so anyone see me in my Burnley FC shirt come up and say hello (I will probably need cheering up, as we will probably be relegated by then :really )

hiya everyone i have just booked a week away at the rosu cofu/skorpios for the 5th september.Me and my partner usually go to egypt, st george three corners.A place we know well. But this time will be our first family holiday with our little boy [2 years] hence the shorter flight and destination.I have heard this is a really good all inclusive hotel ,although i would appreciatate reassurance due to my partner having doubts, any feedback please.

Hi Henley10
Got back from the Corfu last week. Not been to Egypt myself so cant compare the hotel standards but the Corfu and Skorpios are decent 3* hotels nothing fancy. We found it to be very laid back, lovely staff, good food and and overall nice atmosphere, many of the guests return year after year and we probably will next may as we really enjoyed our stay. What sort of doubts do you have?

Hello Henley10

Been a regular to Egypt for several years now and I have also stayed at the Corfu & Skorpios and I am sure you will have a great time, I can easily recommend the Corfu hotel.
Food is Ok with plenty of variety, snack available all day including burgers, chips, ice lollies etc.
Transfer times can be from about 1.5 hrs up to 2hrs depending on your arrival time and the traffic.
