Yes, sorry, I was in Ferrieras last Thursday. I couldn't remember where I was to answer!
For the benefit of all.
The road re-surfacing work in Ferrieras itself is completed except for one or two side streets. The roundabout is being tarted up, but there is no effect on traffic.
You will however wish to avoid the N395 if travelling to or from Albufeira as there is still a lot of work going on, with the road partially closed at the Albufeira end. There are traffic jams now as the holiday season picks up. I took some pictures yesterday while waiting for the bus and I should have these on my webspace some time tomorrow, together with a collection of other stuff I have to sort out.
I recommend you head along the N125 towards Fontainhas and take the road into Albufeira through Brejos and Montechoro or the Vale da Pedras if you want to avoid the traffic and dust. Also, two of the largest surface car parks in Abufeira centre are now closed (for the building of multi-storey car parks where you will have to pay!) so parking is now at a premium. There is free parking up and around the bus station, from where the council has laid on a free mini-bus to take you into town and bring you back. This seems to run every half hour until quite late (it was there at 830pm last night) but in true Albufeira council form there is absolutely no signage or publicity.
And I can add that all the streetworks, drain and sewer projects in the old town are now complete. It's now only the several other assorted construction projects you will have to put up with.
I hope that answers the questions.
