The timetable is only showing them available until 23rd March - not swapped them over to Edinburgh have they ?
I dont know, the flights were on website for a few weeks up until end of june now they have vanished.
Hi audbod ... I can still see availability showing for a Saturday and Tuesday service throughout June 2010.
Thank god they are back on , must have been a problem with website earlier, can get flights booked now.
Got up especially early this morning to see which gate they used today (we go next Tuesday) but missed it ! - anyone any idea if I am correct as we do like to be hovering around the gate area to board as early as we can.
They normally have the gate screen display showing earlier than when it goes up on the general screens around the airport and we would like to be a little ahead to the masses !
Thanks, Chris
Had a travel alert from our travel provider at work today, indicating that from 1 October Ryanair will not accept driving licences as ID for domestic flights. You need to have a passport (there was another option but can't remember what it was called).
RYANAIR GETS STRICT OVER PASSENGER IDENTIFICATION
Ryanair will no longer accept a driver's licence as a valid form of identification from October 1.
Instead, it is reminding passengers to bring their valid passport or a government issued National Identity card when travelling on all Ryanair flights.
It said passengers, who arrive at an airport without a valid form of identification, as advised and agreed to at the time of their booking, will not be able to travel.
Ryanair's Stephen McNamara said:"Ryanair has moved to simplify our identification policy to avoid passenger confusion."

Just got myself a bargain . £24 for 2 flights Stansted-Venice sat 28th Nov - Tues 2nd dec.
What do you do about cosmetics etc?
We are having a few 3 night breaks, flying with Ryanair but we have paid for suitcases.
I see the cost went up yesterday from £40 to £60 for 2 cases!
Ive done it before in the summer when clothes are lighter and managed fine . You can stuff a fair amount of toiletries in those plastic bags they give you at security but you must make sure that none of them are over 100ml. most hotels supply enough shower gel/shampoo etc for a weekend as well but I dont take a chance on that and still take mine .
Doing it like that makes it easier on our return as well . We usually make use of the last day now on these city breaks and get a late flight back but I get so fed up now with the stupid amount of time we have to spend waiting for luggage on our return to london , Particularly at Gatwick . 2 hours it took us this year from the time our plane landed , did the long walk ,stood in the pack waiting for a baggage reclaim number and then waiting for them to come through.
We have 3 weekends booked now so I'm going to invest in some new pull alongs. apparently Tesco do one for around a tenner that complies with ryanair hand luggage .

Do you think that one day, the airlines will reduce the size and weight of the hand luggage too?
I have been on some flights where the passengers can't lift them overhead in the plane and they take up a lot more room than ordinary flight bags.
Sorry Lyn you don't qualify to join the OFD club yet.
I know John . I was quite put out by that . I rang everyone I could think of last night and nobody had one . The stupid thing is my kids had one of those when they first opened there bank accounts at barclays . They were only changed to connect cards fairly recently .
You can apply for a Visa Electron card with the Halifax, here is a link to the account that offers the Electron Card.
http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/easycash.asp
Co-op also do the Cashminder account which I beleive offers an Electron card but you can't apply online, you have to ring them.

Now you can look forward to getting your hands on a 2p return flight at some stage!!! Its a good feeling, you almost feel like your getting one over on them! That until I get in the air and decide I'm thirsty and hungry, damn it, they got me again
Mark
Seems the coop are now doing away with the electron card
I suppose for the couple of times a year we might use Ryanair it hardly seems worth it , but that is now £60-70 they have had off me in card handling charges for 2 flights alone . (the other one was for 4 of us) .Like you say it's more the point of getting one over on them and feeling like you have got the best bargain possible. I book these cheapie weekends with the money I have earnt on my quidco , ebaying and doing on-line surveys and to earn £60 takes a lot of time doing those surveys and I'm dammed if Ryanair are having it .

because so few people have it. Having a free method means they don't have to include any booking charge in their advertised prices. If a lot of their customers got Electron cards they'd charge for it and use another obscure method, like the prepaid cards, as the token free option. So make the most of it whilst you can!
I'm guessing that Ryanair don't charge for Electron
I know that the advantages of the Visa Electron card have been available through Ryanair for some time now, but they do state that it is a special offer and for a limited period only.
As has been mentioned elsewhere Ryanairs continued acceptance of this card allows it to be able to continue to advertise its flight deals at very low prices despite much higher final costs for most customers (ie those who do not have an Electron card)
Chris
Ive always paid a small credit card charge to ryanair ,typically a few pounds but it's now £10 per person if you use anything else (including debit cards) other than electron .
