My thanks once again for all the suggestions. I cant believe there's a few mentioned that are on the Silver Sands doorstep. We've obviously missed these when there before !!!
I agree with the poster who commented about recommendations being one mans preference, but maybe not others. I think it's a case of try it out and make your own mind up.
One 'shack' that never seems to lose its culinary touch is 'The Calamares' ......... it was shown on Sky Travel the other week and brought back fond memories.
I also like the Thai Oriental at the Mira, Souymens Kitchen and Kim Faa in Baga, all excellent restaurants.
Papa, Rovin is back at Sendras just now so hopefully they will be opening again this season, will be great to see him again

Excellent look forward to seeing him and having some of his fantastic naan bread.
Papa
Looking forward to visiting Sendras again, hope the weather is better than last time we went that was a very memorable night in more ways than one
Yes jetti the weather was bad that night the worst i have seen in goa, would you and gemma 33 recommend i bring a crash helmet with me next time slan(cheers)Irishman
How many times did you fall over then irishman that you needed a crash helmet.
Oh yes sleeps you were not there that night so you don't know what happened to poor Irishman I shall say no more ....colleen
thanks annx
Hi sleeps jetti gemma I think colleen paid him to do it ouch
Sendras is in Calangute not far from that dreadful pizza chain restaurant.
NEIL
If you want to try an outstanding pizza try J&A's in Baga Creek. Superb .
Hi Papa thanks but not sure where in calangute the pizza chain is,we usually stay in candolim, but this year
Best I can do is turn left out of the Nizmar and about a 5 minute walk
I like the pizzas from dominos round the pool for lunch, nothing like what you get here
Having moaned about the introduction of western branded food operations into Goa, I know I am being utterly two faced in saying that Domino's Veg Extravaganza pizzas are absolutely delicious, even if they are wildly overpriced!
Poor Irishman got his head bashed in at Sendras
Dont know about a crash helmet IC but you better bring a rain mater for your head
When I find out more about Sendras I will post in here. Going to phone Rovin a couple of weeks.
Irishman i know how much she paid him to do it
Does anyone know what's on the menu at the Bistro. Apparently it's next door to where were staying at the Sunset. My daughter is a pain in the **** when it comes to food so it would be a godsend if they did burgers and spag bol!!

Not sure about burgers and spag bol but the Bistro caters for European tastes albeit a little bit more on the expensive side for Goa.
Lots of members swear by it but on the ocassion we visited we found it quite average.Having said that the same can be said for any restaurant on any given night.
Cannot be faulted for its ambience and overall feel of quality.
Also right on your doorstep so to speak.
Papa
Beautiful Steak + sauces. Spag. Bol
Fish. Prawn dishes.
Fish Pies
all their main course include a bowl of (real) salad, and a bowl of chips, jacket potato. or mash.
We have always found them excellent. Like everywhere else you get what you pay for.
