I think it was probably the entertainment in the day that miffed me more really . There was a board up saying what was going on but you didnt know where and nobody came round to announce anything much other than Ali . And that odd music around the pool sent me to sleep ." Postman Jack "or whatever its called springs to mind . Turkish are normally good with that type of thing so dont know where those CD's were coming from .

I never really expect much during the evening from A/I but there really was no atmosphere . Nothing was being pulled together by the team .

Now listen to me i'm moaning and I dont want to give the impression we had a bad holiday because we didnt . I was just a little disappointed by certain aspects mostly to do with entertainment and atmosphere.

from what i have been told it was baldie (the animation boss) who had a fall out with the hotel so they sacked them all..

That makes sense. Miss Katerina, the dark haired choreographer is his partner, and the baby is theirs.... She used to dance in the shows before having the little one (the days of Robbie etc)

Her partners, the boss was some comedian in russia. :que

Hi Everyone We are due to go to the Hemera later on this year - couple of questions
Does the hotel provide an iron in the room?
Does the hotel provide tea / coffee facilities in the room - if so do they provide tea / coffee or are we best to bring our own?

Many thanks

No Irons I'm afraid and yes they do have tea/coffee in the rooms . Nascafe (I think) sachets and a selection of different teas . Our room was very near reception though so just used to nip over there and take it back to the room . much nicer . ;)

Yes Lyn is quite right, sachets of nescafe and assorted teabags, sugar and dried milk. They were a bit hit and miss in replenishing them though so maybe take a few teabags or a small jar of coffee? They were also hit and miss replenishing toiletries, fortunately we had taken our own but if we hadn't it would have been a bit of a pain. On the whole a good hotel though, spacious spotless rooms, good food etc, Enjoy :cheers

my missus always takes the 3 in one sachets of coffee with her . and they are only about 10p each sachet from the shops over the road at the hemera.. :cheers

Thanks everyone - think I might take a small jar - love my morning cuppa before breakfast. :)

If they are using the same teabags as the Barut Arum (they are blue)....get the teapot (its small), and 3 teabags, put in a much water as you can, and bash about with a spoon before stewing. Gets around 2-3 cups of tea, and its the best tea we've managed to make abroad.

My teenage daughter still takes her own teabags though :que

hi .

if you havent been before you will love it . the quality of the hotel is a1 . but with the loss of the old animation team .to me its lost its spark. also i went on thomas cook website the other day and could stay at the barut lara beach for less than the hemera so im afraid im off to try new places now... :que
