There is a Holiday Inn Express in Stevenage which is centrally situated in the town .... and whose bedrooms can be reasonably priced ..

I used to live in Stevenage about 35 years ago, and I know it's changed a lot since then! The station in Stevenage is centrally situated for the shops, restaurants etc.

Getting there from Luton airport....seems to me the best bet is Arriva bus 100/101 which takes about 45 mins. A quick look for trains had me going into London and back out again!! But you'd best do your own research.

You'll probably need a taxi to Knebworth, it's in the grounds of a stately home on the other side of the motorway (A1M) maybe you'll find somebody to share with.......

Still trying to decide if I will go as so far I am not having much luck with reasonably priced accommodation as it is already booked

There is a Novotel on the roundabout right next to Knebworth, but I guess you've probably checked that already. Pricewise there may be better deals if you looks at the Baldock services, about 10mins North by car along the A1.

Thanks for that keepupwith , I was taking a look and came across the Days Inn at Baldock which looks like it might be a good choice, not too expensive and close enough to Knebworth

I was just looking at premier Inn Stevenage North, and it came up with £233 for 3 nights 29th-31st

Did you think of going on the campsite at Knebworth? If you can't borrow some gear off mates, a small tent is about £25 and a sleeping bag £10-£20...
it SHOULDN'T be cold at that time of year..........

Not booked it yet, went out just to look at a new car................. yep you guessed it how did that happen, I bought it

So I will have to wait a week or so now before I book the accommodation but there are a couple of places I have found so hopefully they will still have places available.

On a positive note I did get a good deal on the car
