Hi iI am going to the Concorde hotel in Lara in June. We are taking our 5 month old daughter with us, do you know if the hotel has a bottle sterilizer? or any baby facilities as we do not have alot of luggage allowance and some many things to take. Does anyone know if the local chemist is nearby? if so does it sell baby food cow and gate?

Hi Tanya. Never seen Cow & gate here but there is an Eczane ( Pharmacy ) on the other side of the road from the Hotels. The woman who owns it will arrange to deliver to the Hotel but of course you have to know what to ask for. Hope this helps.

Hi Janet.I've lived here for 6 years and about 3 miles from Concorde.March can be an indifferent month.Maybe you will be Lucky and no rain. You will however get some days of excellent sun whatever happens.

Hi,we took our son away when he was 7 months old,15 yrs ago,and I took an empty tupperware box, filled it with underwear, socks etc and used it for cold water sterilising, using the tablets.Don't know if there is a better solution nowadays ,if there is hopefully somebody may advise.I also took packets of dried baby food and a travel kettle in case there were no facilities for boiling water in the room. You can usually get yogurts at a supermarket too.T.

We are off to the Concorde this Easter, have been to Barut Lara for the past two years.

Can I ask if named beers, drinks are available there or is just the local brands?

At Barut Lara there were bottles of Millers
available at no extra cost, also genuine spirits too.

It would be nice to have a choice although I enjoy the Effes :glynis

hi we went to the concorde de lux at lara and it was undelievably good they even had gordons gin smirnoff vodka in the bar included in the all inc deal but you had had to ask for it by name cos they prefer you having their local brand make and keep it under the bar but at least they have it for you. they also have crisps etc behind bar just ask and you get. in the bowling bar also had draft fosters but to be honest the local lager effes was very good too as was the local wine. but my favorite was he coffee liquer and the irish coffee very nice indeed :cheers

Just got back from Concorde after an extended holiday, cheers Iceland !!

Fantastic hotel, couldn't fault it, weather hot and sunny bar one day. We had been warned that the pool, slides, a la carte restaurants would be closed, no way. Pool and slides were open, 5 a la cartes, got in them all no problems. Staff were well mannered and helpful, animators were excellent too, Cheers Kazim, Mali, etc etc.

Special thanks to Thomas Cooks, who organised everything for us during the uncertainty, Perry the rep was a top bloke.

If anyone wants to ask me something I will do my best to help. you will enjoy yourselves !! :tup

Cheers
