On 20th December we booked 2 rooms in a hotel in Turkey, all paid, all confirmed and now today we have had an email saying that there was a technical error and our booking wasn't secured, so now we have no accommodation.
Of course since December prices have gone up.
I'm really angry, how can they get away with this?
I plan to write and complain, trouble is on ABTAS site it says you can complain etc etc and will get a response in 28 days, by which time prices will be even higher/
Arrrrrggggghhhh, any advice?
explain about the higher price and ask them what the intend to do about your confirmed booking.
check their T&C's, and see if there is anything there that would help you, or confirm that they can just cancel your holiday.
i have a feeling that their T&C's will cover them, and you are only entitled to a full refund as they will claim it was a genuine mistake and outside their control.
you could always contact Ros see here for some free advice.
Have they offered you allternatives or have they just refunded your money?
In case anyone needs it in future, the relevant legisaltion you need is that they are in breach of contract and you ask them to pay the difference in price in respect of ' loss of bargain'
Glad you got is sorted
Well done you for standing your ground. Thanks for the advice regarding their breach of contract as I don't think many people knew that.
