Hello,
Wonder if someone could give me a helping hand. I have been looking at the progress of LS271 from LBA To Alicante and I would imagine from the seating plan we are on a 757 however the aircraft is constantly changing and I was wondering if anyone can confirm I will be on the 757 and if so do you guys know where it comes in from before it operates our flight?
Flying out on Saturday at 08:50.
Thanks

z.j.c,

LS271/2 are showing as operated by a Boeing 757-200 on saturday. I'm just off to work, but I'll check to see what it operates beforehand when I get back.

EDIT: It could be one of several flights beforehand, there's no single one.

Sunaddict,

Jet2 only operate their Boeing 737-300's out of Blackpool. It's normally G-CELJ or G-CELK.

Does anybody know what the seat pitch is for the extra legroom seats ? I'm interested in their non emergency exits seats.

The Jet2.com website seems to lack this detail whereas others companies are happy to include it.

I ask as I dont want to go through again the boarding stampede I had coming back from Tenerife on Tuesday when coming home with Easyjet.

Having started the queue I was lucky to be first through with Speedy boarding but had to be on my guard as men and women stormed in from everywhere. I felt sorry an old lady with a walking stick and her husband who were behind me and presumably knocked about while the rest barged through.

The worst case I have ever ever seen - even boarding with Ryanair isnt that bad.

On some routes they have extra legroom seats at the front of the cabin and I think they are 34". You can select your seat online when you book a flight only. If you book a package or don't want to pay to select your seat, seat numbers are allocated at check-in.

Thanks Darren,
I was just double checking as it seemed to switch back onto a 737 earlier on in the week.

TFS1,

It's difficult to give a specific seat pitch for extra legroom seats as it varies depending on their location, ie the front, exit rows etc or the designated few rows at the front on selected aircraft. Sunaddict is correct, they are approximately 33-34". The exit rows are upwards or 50". Jet2 have allocated seating so you won't have the easy-scum to look forward to.

z.j.c,

G-LSAI, G-LSAG, G-LSAJ are operating from LBA at the moment but as you know, they do swap and change them.

Darren/sunaddict,

Thanks for the info. A problem I have only just discovered with booking with Jet2.com is that they stop Tuesday returns from Tenerife to Manchester in early Nov - we return late Nov.

Have now booked Easyjet going with Speedy Boarding plus and Monach return with allocated extra legroom seats.

EasyJet boarding etc at Manchester is more orderly and organised than at Tenerife - well it has been so far !!!

Thanks again Chris

Hi Chris
We have been back from Lanzarote about 3 weeks and flew Jet2 and we use them again next week to go to Portugal. We go to Lanzarote again in September and have booked Monarch with the extra legroom seats too.

Hello,
Just got back from Alicante went for a quick break and flew Jet2. I will write a more detailed review shortly however at the minute Im just dropping a quick question.
We flew back in on G-LSAG which appears to have been refitted with lovely new seats. The aircraft also appeared to have a lot more legroom than the outbound aircraft and different seats and I was just wondering is Jet2 refitting all there aircraft like this or is it a one of for this aircraft?
Thanks

z.j.c,

Some of the 752 fleet have had new interiors and the front cabin have more room as extra legroom seats. The new seats are also the slimline design giving more legroom without increasing seat pitch. They were fitted a good 12 - 18 months ago. The other aircraft may get refurbished interiors as and when they need them, but I've not seen any plans for the immediate future to do the whole fleet.
