It's on this thread somewhere Shirley. Probably around the beginning of March. It should show up if you do a search.
Subject: THOMSON AIRWAYS ... Q&As
I was in the office yesterday and heard someone talking about the posibility using aircraft from our sister airline in Belgium - Jetairfly to get the programme back on schedule. Think that might be the reason the Gatwick-Cancun went virtually ontime this morning when I am pretty sure all of Thomsons aircraft are running with at least 3hours delay.

We are due to fly in 2 weeks (we are only going to Dom Rep) for 7 nights...
Just interested in what they might be able to do, do they have any spare aircrafts etc?
It must be a nightmare for them>

I noticed that this morning but the Sanford one was about 12 hours late.
Is the sister "aircraft" the same as the existing long haul ones that Thomson use?
Brilliant. Thanks angie, you've saved me a search.

They use the same Boeing 767-300/ER's, however I beleive they are in a short haul type configuration.

Brilliant. Thanks angie, you've saved me a search.
No problem Shirley always here to help.....
Many thanks in advance
MAN-DLM-MAN (TOM822/3) are scheduled to be operated by a 328 seat Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets) from the former Thomsonfly fleet. The aircraft is configured 2-4-2 so you may want to look at 4 seats in the centre to be together. You'll find futher aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

I am due to fly from manchester to punta cana on the 26th may,TOM 104.
Could anyone please tell me which aircraft i will be flying on and what are the seat configurations like in premium. Many thanks in advance
Welcome onboard
MAN-PUJ-MAN (TOM104/5) are currently operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information including seat configurations, seat maps and photos on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Inflight entertainment (IFE) is discussed a few posts back.

We're due to fly out to Cancun with Tomson on 17th June from Gatwick - outbound TOM 092, and inbound TOM 093 - can you confirm if this flight is on an Ex-First Choice plane with standard seating configuration of 2-3-2?
Regards
Bergy
Welcome onboard
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM092/3) are currently operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER, however this is likely to revert to a former First Choice aircraft.

Cheers Dazbo for the quick reply.I have just had a quick look at the link but could you please confirm that the former Thomsonfly 767/300/er is the one that has 283 passengers and is that correct that there are only the first 5 rows of seats for premium. Many thanks again
shadybutt,
Thanks for your prompt answer regarding LGW-CUN-LGW, TOM092 and TOM093. I have another question in that when we pre-selected our seat from the Tomson web site (a few weeks ago), I'm sure the seating plan showed a 2-3-2 arrangement. If as you suggest the plane is 4-2-4 arrangement our selection will be incorrect? Will we be able to reselect at check-in?
Kind Regards
Bergy
Aircraft change through the season. At present, they are operated by the former TOM aircraft, last weeks flight by G-OBYG for example. However as I mentioned, I suspect this will change to a former-FCA. That's due to the higher density aircraft being used to places like the Dominican Repulic during the busier times and the lower density aircraft to the less busier / longer destinations. As you have seen, the flights on your dates are the ex-FCA aircraft as I suspect. The seats you've selected won't change other than if a technical problem arises and the flights needs to be operated by an alternative aircraft.

we hope to be going TOM518 Bristol to Cancun in the morning , 15th May.
We have pre booked seats, so hope plane typr is still the same.
Where does the plane fly in from so i can see if any delay ?
Are you aware of any delay at present to Cancun ?
Thks
The aircraft type is the same as your previous post (former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER). The aircraft ferries down to Bristol from Manchester to operate your flight in the early hours of Saturday morning departing at 0435, arriving at 0530 (TOM518P). The likely flight before the ferry is TOM142/3 coming in to Manchester from Mombassa, Kenya at approximately 17:55. Howwever, there is a delay on today's flight and it's not due in until 23:40. As long as there's no problems, there should be enough downtime between flights for it not to knock-on to your flight.
Have a great holiday
Darren
