lbreslin,

The aircraft schedule is showing a Boeing 757-200. Having checked ACARS, it's looking like recent flights (from the middle of July) have been changed to a Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul).

Hi.
Im new to this, so im sorry if I sound a bit confused!
Im a very nervous flyer (have tablets to help) and am also of quite large build.
I fly to Cancun on 16/8/10 from Birmingham, Thomson Airways TOM568/TOM569, in Premium. (We have prebooked seats)
Just wondering if you can tell me ...a) how long the seatbelts are
b) is it a First Choice or Thomson plane
c) anything I can do to make the whole experience less scary?!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Clairee80,

BHX-CUN-BHX (TOM568/9) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). The experience won't be scary, don't worry! It should be quite pleasant. I can't tell you how long the seatbelts are, but should be plenty long enough. You'll find lots of aircraft information including photos and seat plans on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi Darren,

Just a quick post about my Thomson Airways Flight on 15/07/10 - 29/07/10

Flight: TOM172/173

Outbound: Seats 31F 31g 32F 32G

Return: Seats 34A 34B 35A 35B

It was of course operated by an ex first choice boeing 767-300 with winglets :)

I've posted a link of the flight going there on Youtube just incase you want a look :)
Just Search 'Thomson Airways to Varadero' and the channel should be meggydanny

Also, there are pictures of my main meals on airlinemeals website.... just search Thomson airways and they should be there... uploaded by Daniel

Also, if anybody else wants to look they are of course welcome to :)
Thanks for the info

uno28,

BHX-DLM-BHX (TOM486/7) are on the schedule as operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER (short haul / winglets). However flights since 24th July have been operated by a Boeing 757-200. When they will revert back to the scheduled 767, I don't know. The times I have show the flights as departing BHX at 1455, arriving in DLM at 2100. The return flight the week later is showing as departing DLM at 2200, arriving back in BHX at 0020. Times should be confirmed on tickets.

Hello.

Corfu tomorrow, I understand it should be a 757, any changes to the aircraft? If so, or not.. is it possible that you know what the registration of the aircraft might be?

Thanks in advance, Tom.

tomcardiff,

Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights. With your username, I assume you're flying from Cardiff so are on the the TOM6506/7? There are no changes as far as I'm aware. G-OOBI (ex-FCA) is currently down in CWL so may be your bird. Have a great time :sun2 :cheers

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could help me please as I am getting in a bit of a oh-ah over our flight to Corfu!!!???

We have booked seats with extra room, now I am not sure what the extra room is, I presume its leg room? The seat numbers are 32A & B, the flight is TOM6506 from Cardiff, does anyone know what sort of plane this is please? I have also been trying to find a seating plan but seeing as I dont know what plane it is, I dont have a clue where to look!!

The other question that is really worring me is that I am what you may call pear shaped and my tum/bum is a little too large to fit the standard seat belt, I have my own extender ( to avoid any embarassment) and on reading the T&C on the Thompson site it states that Obese people will not be allowed to sit in the extra leg room seats, do you know how strict they are on this matter? I do fit into a seat no problem and I am fit and able, just a little wide around the middle! I fully understand about safety and if there is going to be a problem with where we can sit then I will not bother to reserve the seats and just take the normal seating that they provide, after all its only around 3 hours flying time as I believe it?

Any advice would put my mind at rest as I really dont want the air line to inform me that I cant sit in the seats booked as I would die of embarassment :yikes

thanks in advance

that would depend on if the extra legroom seats are located in EXIT rows... in which case its not just a Thompson thing but a CAA regulation which roughly states that exit row seats can only be occupied by adults who are physically fit [as to not cause problems in an emergency] also the person seated by the emergency exit should be briefed by the flight crew as to how the doors work as it will be their job to open when instructed in an emergency and assist evacuation..

Welcome onboard :tup
CWL-CFU-CWL (TOM6506/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information including photos and a seating plan on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). There are extra legroom seats that aren't on exit rows available. These are indicated on the seating plan.

Which seating plan have you been looking at? Thomson flight extras? There are several plans subject to the aircraft you are on. Your flights are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). You'll find seating plans and photos linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Row 15 A/B are towards the front of the economy cabin on the port (left) side of the aircraft.
