Hiya my amazing mother in law to be has decided that for her 50th birthday she wants to celebrate in style with an incredible holiday and even better would like her family to be there too. She has booked the following leaving Heathrow on 11th Dec:
New York: Empire Hotel: 3 Nights
Cancun: Grande Caribe Park: 13 nights
Las vegas: Mirage Hotel: 4 nights
I have never been away from home at christmas in all my 27 years so its going to be weird but i guess when I am on a beach in Mexico it wont seem so bad! I have also never been on a holiday where the destination is colder than the UK.. I am already panicking about how the hell I am going to pack for this one! The hol was booked about 5 months ago and I am just beginning to allow myself to get a bit excited about it as I need to start buying clothes for the beach part before they all disappear out of the shops!
Is it really weird being on a beach on xmas day? I dont know how it can feel like xmas when its hot!!
Sounds fantastic !!
What a great MIL!!
Difficult to pack for two different climates I would imagine - you'll have to go for layering to avoid having to take bulky items.
Jak xx
I dont think its the being away for xmas that will be strange, its probably more because I wont be with my family. I have 2 new nieces this year and will miss their 1st xmas... I have never been apart from my family at xmas.. but like they keep saying when I am on a beach in Mexico I am sure I will get over it!! oh and obviously spending it with my fiance will be nice (best not forget that part!)
