hi dave
jambala, tonys place,to to ,s,alexandras, and opposite cocoanut, all candolim
sweet chilly siquerim
For those of you who go to Benaulim... Milan, who ran AmalM for the past 3 seasons, is now at Jack's Corner with the same staff and is opening up tomorrow night.
Been a bit quiet in work so I have read through the places that seem to have been mentioned from last season and they are as follows....
APORA ~ SPICE OVEN & ALL SPICE
BAGA ~ JAMIES & KIM FAA
CANDOLIM ~ RISING WAVES,SOUYMENS KITCHEN,TOTOS,CARVERY & BOMRAS
It will be interesting to see if there are any new places the HT'ers can add to the list after they visit this season (which is not to far away).

My favourite was Patricks fish and chip place next to Bending bamboo's candolim...
The Carvery for the 'meets' in Candolim do great currys - bombay potatoes are the best I have had.
Spice Garden in Candolim for steaks
Tony's Place in Candolim for fish & chips (for a change from currys)

Hey Keith!! They are our favourites too!!
Cheers dragon - I did read about it thanks, taking over Floyds old place at the crossroads
Another decent place to try is Cecilia's near to the Stone House in Candolim.

You missed Rivercove in Cavelossim with 3 mentions too Keith !
Top place goes to Kim Faa and Rising Waves with 5 votes each but.......
You might decide differently ! Waterproof can't understand the fuss about Rising Waves and my experience of Kim Faa was similar.
Bon appetite
PS For me must try them goes to Jamies (soul food) and Bomra ( Burmese) . Will report back in due course !
Hi Dave, forgot to mention they were all North Goa
. As well as the Rivercove there are some other cracking places down South, like so many on the forum this is one topic I always look forward to ...Keith

I think the reason some people rave about one restaurant and other don't like it, is the wide range of food that is served, in most places some dishes are excellent and some only average and a few not what you fancy on the night and some just should not be on the menu, also the size of your party can have a big difference on the food, most places seem to be unable to cope with more than six in a party even if you pre order.
Even on here people a saying go to Patrick's or Tony's for fish and chips which they are famous for but people still turn up and order other things and then complain that the steak or curry meal was not as good as Joe Bloggs, so they say you should go to Joe Bloggs but Bloggs fish and chips might be totally unedable but it is still normally a lot better and cheaper than our local pub.

Where about is Joe Bloggs place, sounds as though the curries & steaks are o.k but the fish&chips are to be avoided.....might give the place a try....

Must try Bomras this time, the food sounds briliant. I have had this on my list for the last few years but never got there so have to make it a must this time. I am fast running out of days again to fit in all the restaurants I want to go to.
Do you know the round and round and round and roundabout near Mapusa market???????
My family and I've been to Victor's restaurant. You will not be disappointed with the food in this amazing place. Really good food, OMG, the lobster was so delicious. This is probably the best food in Goa.
