Read some great reports about Glens Corner, and thats a great price for your flight.

Glen's Corner is so close to the Beach it's brilliant!! Great service and food. Coldest Kingfishers ever and Glen is a lovely guy, nothing is too much for him or his staff. Rooms are immaculate and a good size. Love it !
We have been looking at flights for Feb/March 2012 we cant book until next week ..they have been £550 ish with Qatar for weeks had a look at them last night and they have gone up £140 each I feel sick colleen
looked yesterday and the price has gone to 722.00 - we have booked but not with our usual travel agent and paid 712 know its only £10 cheaper but hey thats a meal with drinks when we get there. (should have realised the only thing to come down is rain)
Alan
Dont book yet, as there definatly will be some offers coming up in a couple months So we are waiting at least till then
I agree with you split you just have to hold your nerve and wait a short while it'll pay off...
so they think they can hike the prices up, as sleeps says, hold your nerve and wait, and hopefully the prices will come down

Schhhh!! Don't let them hear you!!!
I think it's a case of Dont panic mr mannering.
That seems a bit steep but not sure what to do - hang on or bite the bullet. Think I'll wait a few weeks and see what happens but if it goes up again I'll be as sick as a chip. It's only a couple of years ago I got last minute flights for £249! That was Monarch for 2 weeks but I want 5 or 6 this time.
For Mancunian departures, Qatar know they've got you by the rowlocks because any other carrier involves changes at London or Brussels (or some other Eurpean hub) and then Delhi or Mumbai and that's a real pain of a journey - three flights often with longish waits.
Perhaps HTers should charter their own flights - I'll co-pilot - after riding scooters in Goa an Airbus can't be that difficult, O/H can do the trolley dolly stuff, Mike can look after the duty free (yeh, right!) and Chilly can sort out the on board entertainment. What do you think?
I reckon they will be £60-£80 each so although it's more mucking about, there's a saving of around £450 for two people compared with flying direct to Goa with Qatar. £450 goes a long way in Goa and we're doing 6 weeks so we have time to recover from the flights.
I reckon the Doha-Goa flight is a nice little earner for Qatar. Goa and Mumbai are not that far apart and there's a difference of £312 per flight - someone's having a laugh!
Roma we used GO AIR from Mumbai to Goa in Feb they were very good and on time
i think that is a very good price lovebug can i ask how long you will be staying?.
Had a look at the Qatar flights from Manchester to Mumbai for Feb 2012. £479 which looked really appealing until I noticed the 30 hour return trip home dont think we will bother with them times..Keith
cost £65 each return
annx
Thanks Ann - have looked and likely to book GoAir in a day or two when we've finalised what we're doing.

Keith - If you change the day you will find that the flight times are quite good. There are 2 or 3 days in the week when the flights don't work out.
Cheers Roma I will have a look, the times going are ideal. The dates we want are out on 10th Feb and returning around the 3rd March but the times for the 3rd & 4th are the 30 hour ones (land Mumbai 06.00 ish depart 01.30 + 1day) We will probably sit tight for a bit and hope something comes up.......Keith
Just had a look on Qatar site if you came back on 2nd March it is 12hrs 50min going and 13 hrs return....may see you there, we are in Candolim from 2/2/2012 until 3/3/2012, If not have a good time.

So, that comes to:
Qatar to Mumbai: £820 plus around £130 for internals so that's £475 each compared with Qatar to Goa direct of £722. That's a saving of £494 for two of us.
That should keep us in Honeybees for a week or two!

liking that idea Roma... not sure about Mike in charge of the duty free though
