Been another glorious day today, got up early this morning and ventured into the garden after a leisurely breakfast to pluck mango's for 'er in doors and madam has been making pickle with extra mustard seed like it is going out of fashion, only hope the mango's will ripen soon, certainly before we leave as I also like "Ann made" mango jam and her spicy chutney.

Think we are eating foreign food tonight to use up some of the goodies, hope to have spaghetti with lean minced beef in a fresh tomato bolognas sauce, served with shaved parmesan and a home grown green salad lightly tossed in an extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette and cherry tomatoes. I would love to say with home made bread but think it will be have to be rolls from the bakers boy with balsamic vinegar and chilly enhanced extra virgin olive oil

Yes, I image the transporter mentioned is one of the converted ships you can see out on the horizon, among the bulk carriers that has been converted with cranes, conveyers etc, to trans ship ore from the barges onto the bulk carriers that dont have their own handling gear (such as the R Princess) I would imagine it would be very hard to mistake these monsters with a humble ore barge Truths a bit of a stranger sometimes in Goa however.

I mentioned this on the kindle thread in the General Holiday enquiries forum but thought it was worth a mention here.
If you are looking for a good travel related book, an absolute must read is Danny Bent's You've gone too far this time, Sir. Its all about his spur of the moment decision to cycle from the UK to India. The stories he has of the different countries he goes through are fascinating and often very funny( but with some sad tales too). I think I paid for it as a kindle book through Amazon but right now it can be downloaded for free.
