I'm confused whats the difference between a double and multiple entry visa
As you can gather by the other post. If you have a two entry you should know where and when you are traveling. You need a multiple as you should get your visa before booking. If you know where you want to go put their details as a contact. You do need something. They can't check the actual booking but will look to see you have a valid tourist destination.
I didn't think along these lines when applying, just that we are going in December and then hopefully return again in March, after the 60 days have elapsed. In this case I should have applied for a multiple. My thoughts were well we intend to enter twice so a double entry it is! Multiple to me implies more than this. Having read other forums it appears that I am not alone in this line of thinking.
Passports and visa applications were again sent off yesterday so it's fingers crossed that our booking confirmation along with a letter of explanation will be sufficient for their needs. I was tempted to cross the double out and manually enter multiple, but thought that might upset the apple cart entirely!!
Ho Hum, you certainly learn by your mistakes when applying for a visa for India!!
Don't they provide the envelope and address them back to you when complete?
If you paid VFS for DX courier return you don't need to send a PPE, but if you are using the Post Office service you have a problem!!
"Service Charges: GBP 7.70
Collected by VF Services UK Ltd.
Courier Charges: GBP 6.17"
on my online payment ICR receipt so I assume I have paid.....
Been a week since I posted. Had my SDE tracked and received in Hayes with all my documents in.
But no sign of my passport on the VFS tracking system but I guess that's fairly normal from what I have read.
ales, you have paid for DX Courier return so no need for you to include PPE Don't worry about the tracking message on VFS, most people get their passport back before the message changes From what I've heard it's taking about 9-11 days for returns
Nice One. One less worry. Thanks GMT.
hey, i have sent my visa application off and forgot to put the decleration along with it in the post.. is this gonna affect my chances.. well worried
They will send it back!!
really!? then why didn't they send it back when they did my pre checks and sent it to the higher commsion : \
You were probably lucky
Will be applying for this years in the next couple of weeks, dreading it already.
After the hiccup of applying for the wrong entry tourist visa, i.e. double when it should have been multiple, passports have arrived back safely this morning with multiple entry visas. When I sent them back, along with the itinerary I also included a letter explaining why I had mistakenly applied for double entry, i.e. thinking we are going twice, therefore need to enter twice. It took them a week to turn them around the second time.
I am trying to print it off to send it however when I click uk- london its asking me for a valid indian mission name yet I am clicking it
done it lol
worry over, got them this morning
is that not the case now as i cant see it?
so if not then , do i have to create 2 seperate applications and pay for and post them seperately?
I did 2 seperate applications and payments, but posted them together.Received back complete with visas in 11 days(that included weekend and indian holiday)
Pax rax, as Milliemeg says, do seperate applications and payments but send them together
