Compared to the Red Sea, you'll probably be dissapointed with snorkelling in Turkey. The marine environment is much less diverse in the Aegean / Mediterranean compared to the more tropical waters of the Red Sea. There are no coral reefs around the Turkey coasts. Having said that, there are still some nice snorkelling areas but they tend to be away from the main beach resorts and require a boat to get their. I would base your holiday on what you want from the resort rather than just snorkelling. I've logged over 50 dives in Turkey and while it's enjoyable, it's not the best for marine life spotting.
