we started off with a good flight from Cardiff with Thompson airways arrived on time with a smooth flight.
was expecting a coach to take us to dalyan but instead it was just the two of us in a posh minibus .journey to dalyan was about 30 min's in the dark so did not see anything interesting.
arrived at hotel calypso and sank a few effes then went to bed.
awoke to see the river and what a sight it was,got to be one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen.
green shiny water with a background of green plants and mountains I felt in heaven.
walked into town which was a nice 5-10 min stroll, was a little taken back as to the size of the town as we expected it to be more low key !!! way to many bars&restuarants I thought.
also far too many boats on the river I wonder how they all survive ?
did not really get hassled by people but was a bit tiresome after a while saying no thanks to the boat/restaurant pimps who try to get you in.
if I see another leaflet I may screen lol.
some of my highlights of dalyan were bistro blue best steak in dalyan, digbys coffee shop for the best milkshakes, sinnan's for best egg7chips (wife says),prince of caunos for the cheapest beer in town 4.50tl for large effes.
and my local shop next to wishing well where we brought fresh bread most days to use for fishing.
we only did 2 trips on the boats, one was up to the lake to look for turtles reed warblers and any other life.
the other 4 of us hired a boat from oz for fishing which included a bbq.7 hours we were out for 50tl each great value.
most of our days were sitting on the hotel jetty fishing for mullet and sea bass with the sun shining down on us.
did go to captains bar on the Saturday to watch the mighty Wales play rugby.
other good bars was jiks and m+m rock bar.
one small annoying thing I found was the amount of dogs and cats which was always around some restaurants and hotels.
some people who maybe don't like animals this can be a right put off.
two weeks went far to quick in my opinion and before we knew it we were heading to dalaman airport.
this airport looks great but is full of stress !! as soon as you arrive you are rushed through security scanners, then to the check in and get rid of your bags. then another security scanner check to go through before passport control.
once through all this you are welcomed by the duty free shops and the very expensive (rip off) food and drink places.
we made our way to gate 24 for our flight which started boarding 20 min's early I think because of the fact a lot of people were standing up as there was a serious lack of seating for large flights.
we took off 10 min's early and had a smooth flight back to Cardiff where we had a very bumpy landing as the winds were bad and it was raining.
all in all a great time and will defiantly return to paradise again.
will write a separate review for calypso in hotel section.

The Media Gallery will be available in the near future once everything on the Forums and Reviews is sorted
excellent review - thank you for sharing x
Thanks for sharing your experience
Glad you enjoyed the holiday Madasharley. We went to turtle beach from Dalyan. It is indeed a beautiful river and the tombs carved out of the hillside are magnificent.
