Shirley I don't read Doe's post as belittling? I read it as her having an opinion and using, as many people do, the price of a drink as a for instance.
I actually use the price of a drink as a guide as to how much I'll save, for example if TC were to give me £2 more than M&S I'd think 'Oh that's the price of a large beer' But I don't feel offended by Doe's post and certainly not belittled by it.
This matter is now closed. Doe's topic has been cleared as on topic so let's all move on. :tup
Doe's post was clearly aimed at my comment about the beers! Like I couldn't care less about people not having food etc! But hey, lets all move on eh!

Just so I get that straight.
If Doe was having a dig then she waited 27 days to do so. Plus she was having a dig at me too as I use the same method as I've already posted. However, I do not read her post as a dig at me but maybe I'm so used to reading much more alarming posts around the internet, that aren't questioned nor censored

As Greece are having a hard time of it lately should we haggle hard their prices?
In relation to the original post, would there be a problem getting the full value of any "Greek" euros should they pull out. It is actually a serious question, when you consider that should they do so, it is more than the holidaymaker who would lose out. The people in the money market would seek to minimise their losses if this was to happen
STOP WORRYING ABOUT GREECE, there are more places to think about we all know or should know, Ireland,Spain,Italy and Portugal have been in trouble a long time add to this Cyprus which has a debt bigger per head of population than Greece, and applied 2 days ago for EU support Italy who nobody mentions has debts just over twice Spain and Portugal put together,
THE EU could not let Greece or any other euro country default as it would bring down the whole house of cards called the euro
I have friends in Greece and Cyprus so i am quite aware what is happening and some people not being able to afford food [we have people like that in the uk as well] I also know an Italian lady who dose the rounds of the charity shops in my area once a week for children cloths to send to Italy.
this rant has gone slightly off topic but im trying to put things in perspective .
going for my dinner now
