I'm still loving my Kindle. Am at present reading "You've gone too far this time Sir". It's Danny Bent's account of his cycle ride from the UK to India to raise money for Action Aid. It's a great read :tup I got it when it was free.

Here's the details:-

DD loves hers, but I still like the feel of a paperback in my hands, saddo that I am. Although it was handy when we were on holiday and I finished a book from an author new to me and was desperate to read another one of her books, and DD presented me with it on her kindle almost as soon as I mentioned I was sorry i hadn't bought more of them. Very handy as I have memories of trundling around various holiday resorts in various Country's over the years when I had either underestimated the amount i need to take with me or had a hankering for a certain author.

I love my Kindle and haven't picked up a paperbook novel now in almost 18 months. I took one with me to Egypt but stayed loyal to Mr Kindle....

I'm a bit tight when it comes to books and only download the free ones  Even if it's 20p I don't bother but I think it's more to do with the fact that I'd go off on a tangent with downloads if I started buying them as well ;)

Thanks for that Glynis. It sounds very interesting indeed.
I've just "bought" it too ;)

Amazon has put 'some new restrictions' on eReaderIQ http://uk.ereaderiq.com/sorry.php You can still follow a link to some of the books however.

I love my kindle, especially with the waterproof cover so I can take it by the sea :)

My favourite part of the Kindle is being able to download new books from wherever you are. In Malta last year (hope I haven't already posted this :rofl ) I was laid in bed and went into Amazon free books, chose one and was reading it in minutes :tup

does anyone download books for Kindle from elsewhere than Amazon?
I have found lots on OBOOKO.
I admit that I sometimes have problems getting them from PC to Kindle

Hi Del I use Tuebl they are in Ebook format and I convert using calibre. Have to download to laptop then once converted I copy them to kindle don't have any problems putting them on the kindle what problems do you have?
I also use Tuebl to down load onto my iPhone I prefer reading that in bed and on the bus to work they download instantly into my IBooks app.

Sometimes when I transfer the files to the Kindle they delete all the files already on the Kindle.
Not every time so i can't tell what the problem is!
I have used tuebl also but couldn't say if the problem is the same there or not.

Not had that problem but will make sure I do a back up nex time I put some on.
I just have the basic cheapest kindle and I copy and past into the documents folder rather than using the send to option is that the way you do it?
