Have been to San Stefanos a couple of times never been in the Athina but have seen it. Really nice hotel set in a bit from the main road. They have a lovely pool and the sunsets are breath taking from there. We really enjoyed San Stefanos and are going back in September.
Hope you have a great time.

Cathy
probably the biggest in Corfu. Snacks are a bit expensive but they always are . They have a small playarea for totties-nice. The staff are friendly as all greeks are. There is a path from the pool area to the beach-nice.
Call in to the Athens bar (not the same place) Maybe we will meet there sometime my husband & i live in the village now. The locals call us Savo &
Vassilli
Liz & Billy realy fro Edinburgh
Hi! Liz & Billy, We will be in San Sefanos from july15th have written down your details so we might see you there. Thanks for your reply.
I stayed in San stefanos in october 2003. I stayed in the Romanza up cardiac hill. It is a nice little resort with a gorgeous beach!! The sea is soo clear and you can go out for ages and its not deep.
Hi! vickyvicky Thanks for your report. Going by all the reports it should be a nice holiday.
Stayed at The Athina last August and both Athina and San Stefanos were absolutely lovely!! In fact we're going back again this year on July 29th!
San Stefanos is not that big and is not too loud however does have areasonable amount of lively bars, and you can take a stroll around the friendly and lovely village. The locals are so friendly, and we spoke to many people who either have been coming for years and years or will consider coming back - that speaks volumes in itself.
The Athina is a fairly new hotel with 40 or so rooms. Staff are very friendly and last year gave a souvenier before checking out. They really make you feel at home and rather like home!
It is absolutely spotless, and if you have ever been to Greece before, you'll know rooms are very basic - not In the Athina though! They are carpeted and are very modern and comfortable with a large balcony and a fully tiled modern and well equiped bathroom. So totally different to anything else we experienced in Greece before! Also, towels from what I remember were changed everyday and sheets a few times a week. Lovely rooms in my opinion and all other people we spoke to !
The food is really tasty, continental breakfst in the morning included in price with the option of full english for just £2 extra. There is a set menu with three options every night and if you don't like anything, you can pay extra for a-la-carte (I think )
There is a huge pool which is lovely and the snack bar serves drinks and snacks all day and shows a film late afternoon and the beach is lovely and big.
the staff at the hotel, like I said before were realy homely and made you feel valued and all in all this was an excellnt holiday!!!
Entertainment is a TV in the modern and nice bar in the hotel and a greek night is in the hotel and is really FUN! The bars in the resort also have entertainment I imagine too.!
Oh yeah, the sunsets are a must say, which you can see from the restaurant.
I'm getting all excited already ! can't wait to go back! I'm sure you'll have a LOVELY time too!
have a great Holiday!!!!
Hi! There Athina 2005, Thanks for your report the hotel and resort both sound great. We are there from the 15th till 29th july so we wont be bumping into you unfortunatly, but have a nice time.
That's ok, Thanks, have a nice time yourselves!
INVALID URL are really really great. Check out the pictures on the site. It's a beautiful town with a long sandy beach. The locals are really friendly and I recommend 'Jazzmins' a resteraunt on the coast for BEAUTIFUL food and good prices. It's my fave place EVER!

Hi,
We are going to san stefanos on 20th may and our apartments have been changed to the voula apartments. We cannot find out anything about these apartments and are a bit anxious, especially as a "STEEP HILL" is mentioned in the brochure and we have a 5 yr old boy.
Any info about the apartments and the severity of the hill would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Julia
Hi! thyesmiths. Thanks for your message we are looking forward to out holiday is San Seefanos. By all the reports Corfu sounds just right for a chilling out time.
There is a metion on this site about them seemingly...still as good lace to find your way about ....san stef is great ...small but lovely beach and sunsets....with lots of good bars and resturants....
Anyone who ate at Jazzmine's Restaurant in San Stefanos last year please note that Dimitri and Nicky (and their excellent food) have moved back up the hill behind San Stefanos Travel to ELPITHAS BISTRO. We're delighted as it means arguably the best food in San Stefanos is back on our doorstep and we won't have far to stagger after one Metaxa too many!
yes back up the hill amazing food-great music, very special place.
Can you tell me in what brochure will I find the hotel Athena. Been doing a little research on Corfu (been once before to Acharavi and loved it), with the intention of visiting again next year. San Steffanos and the Hotel Athina sound perfect. Thanks!
