That video camera looks like a bit more than £140...!

Just a tad! But worth every penny. This is a review of my camera system that I did for the BSAC:

Those are brilliant photos Everest and they're all taken with Olympus camedia? If I took any photos as good as that I would be very pleased.
Thanks

everest. sorry but i'm now confused ( easily done! ). in another post you said that the pictures you took were using the sealife reefmaster DC310 camera (wow love it ) but you now say they were taken using the olympus camedia? are they a mixture of pictures using both camera's. also i assume the price of £140 doesn't included the underwater casing you need.........if so where and when did you get it for that sort of money. medot.xx

medot they are mixture of both cameras but turtle vid plus photos are with olympus. yes does inclued houseing look on pixmania.com where we got camera mrs e

wow lucky you everest you got a bargain there. i've been onto that website but can't get a camera + housing for that price unless a get one of those underwater pouch things to put my camera in. i've not seen these before. the new pentax camera which has only just come out is a small digital camera which is waterproof!! can't quite understand how that works but i think i'll see if i can get to look at this camera before i finally make up my mind what to buy.
ps for anyone who is interested argos are currently selling underwater disposable cameras for £4.99 or two for £8.98. medot.xx

Just to clear things up, the original posts were made by Mrs E, not me. I must give her a jolly good slap and password protect the computer!

My photos were taken with a Sealife Reefmaster DC310 Digital. We have never owned an Olympus.

http://www.digital-cameras.com/shop/Digital_Compact_Cameras-3_sc/Underwater_Cameras-91/SeaLife_ReefMaster_DC310_Camera-1899.html

It's a little bit more than Mrs E stated (about double). They also do a cheaper version, the DC300.

Please accept her apologies. She was probably getting confused with the camera she bought for our daughter. Easy thing to do when you've been at the shishas too much!

How much is Mrs. E. getting, per hit, on the Pixmania site? I've been there about 5 times today!!!

Nowhere near enough!

She said sorry but she was reading the wrong receipt. :shrug

everest .could you do me a favour and give mrs e a jolly good slap from me as well. :rofl :rofl :rofl
i've spent a good couple of hours trying to get that camera at that price. coming back on here tonight and just reading your message well i've never laughed so much.
one good thing is staples have the new pentax digital camera. this is a small camera that is waterproof to 1.5 metres and should be ok for snorkeling. i cant beleive its waterproof as it looks just like an ordinary camera. its brand new on the market so i dont think it will be long before other makers follow suit. medot.xx

pps i've just gone into shock mode  your camera is being advertised in jessops for £399 and on that site you've just told me about its £259 wow what a difference!

Slightly off-topic, but I have just been looking in the Eygpt underwater gallery and wondered what cameras people are using to take their pictures with.
Any camera recomendations or tips?

First let me say I have posted this here as I thought most people going to the Red Sea might have an answer :!: :shrug
Has anyone used the underwater camera that Mytravel sell on their flights to take pictures? The camera costs £8 and you can refill it with your own film. Wasnt sure about buing one against a disposable underwater one. If the replies are good I will get one on my next Mytravel flight before visiting Egypt. Want to get lots of pictures of the fish etc especially as the whole family have just bought and learnt to snorkle in Lanzarote. :fish :fish :fish
Thanks :D

You must be related to Katie of Nuweiba ! She's known as North Welsh Lass !

But if you have bought Lanzarote then I think that you can afford something a little bit more upmarket than an 8 quid camera.

Treat yourself to a Sony DSC U60 ! If you can find one that is .... they're becoming rarer than Giant Trevallies ! Like Giant Trevallies, I have only seen two.... and I got one of them !!!

Is that what we had at the lunch the other week Alvin?
