I have agreed with Rise that I am happy to share a cabin in order to get a cruise this year. However we have a slight problem in so much as they cannot find anyone to share with me! Now I don't consider myself a social outcast, have no bad habits that I know of and even have been known to have a sense of humour on the odd occasion. They did find someone to share with me but she pulled out at the last moment. Now I am Female and in my 40's (I'm not saying which end) and I am looking for someone to share.

If anyone out there is looking to book a cruise and would be happy to share with me I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. Apparently the age group is not a major issue but you would have to be female (shame I would have been happy to share with a guy - having received photos and profiles first of course). Last time I spoke to Rise they had cruises available for sharers in September and October. So if you can be reasonably flexible with the dates during those months we may be able to go on a cruise together (I'm starting to feel a bit like I am on blind date - but don't worry I'm not that way inclined).

I have told my contact at Rise that I will pass on the details of anyone who responds to my request and they will contact you to ensure everything fits. I am not sure if the location we live in is important but if you could let me know whereabouts in the country you are it would be useful. I myself live in Kent.

For direct contact - I have a very strong anti spam filter so please put Cruise in the subject line so that I can pick up any easily which may accidently end up in the junk mail box.

Here's hoping I can get a cruise booked soon.

My co-in-laws loved it and would go back like a shot! They said the ship is beautifully fitted out. The only complaint they had was that because the ship is in a different port every day, they need a holiday for a rest!

Apologies for an earlier post - I've just checked the Vacations To Go website (they seem to know all there is to know about the cruise industry) and the Melody has been downgraded from 2.5* (as I'd said earlier) to 2*.

Oh dear Meeeeyyyy, you certainly know how to cheer us all up - and in duplicate too I know the prices of cruises on the Melody are dropping but hadn't realised the * rating had been lowered as well I refuse to be downcast however as I'm sure we will all have a good time, especially when we consider who are fellow passengers include. I am really looking forward to reading the reports from the trail-blazers (or should that be wake-blazers) on her, after which I am sure we will all feel more confident.

I also didn't mean to worry anybody, but if I find I've given wrong info I have to correct it as soon as I realize, as it nags me till I do. Anyhow, it's better to know about the rating now than be disappointed on board - especially those of us who have cruised before and wonder why standards aren't so high.

Just had a look @ the vacations to go site and it is still showing the Melody as 2 1/2 stars

and it is still only showing as 2001 for the last refit so i think they may be a bit behind at the monent

still it doesn't matter as long as the food, , and are good does it?????
