Good Afternoon from the Balcony
It is cold today, if it carries on like this I will take up line dancing seriously
just to keep warm

How I wish I was with Myles and Ian they are both stars.
I only hope the Melody is half as good by the time I board, so much for the silly Yank and his review . Go on get it down ya, never mind the loud mouth DE reader, some people like to brag about how much they paid for something, some like to brag how little they paid.
A bit like the loud mouth on a cruise bragging about how much she could get for her house if she sold it, asking a fellow passenger how much she could get for her house - the reply came 12 months, 12 months loud mouth asked, what do you mean ? !2 months in jail as it's a council house, was the reply. (well it was funny when I first heard it).
Take Care you will soon be there, (how distant it seemed no so long ago) so all you near to Cruisers and go steady at Heathrow theres not a lot open, I am always amazed how quickly it closes down at night, by 10pm most food shops are shut in arrivals, my bus is generally the 12 midnight.
Dave Bishop sorry about your RTA perhaps you could claim of the other party for loss of a holiday Hope you'r better soon
Byeee for now

Scchhh......it's very quiet on here.......where is everybody I bet Phil is making music with ding dongs, though
Well, Carol has arrived home, at least her computer is switched on, perhaps it's a ghost!
Well spring is in the air etc.... :wave :wave
Where is everyone, it's lovely and sunny on the 'bogcosta hill' I had no idea we were sailing during the night I dont know how far we've come but by heck what a change in the weather. :pele :pele Must ahve been all that line dancing shook the boat up a bit, incase Myles is reading sorry, but mine is not a registered Ship, so it's a boat. "Oh ! I do like to be beside....." damn neighbours banging on the wall some people have no sense of humour or taste of music - it was only 08.10 when I started singing in the bath. Mind you I did have classic gold on at 04.30 I forgot to alter the alarm call, and stayed out all night. (They sleep to much anyway).
Must go now, toast is burning, smoke detector blasting away, well I'll make sure they don't get back too sleep. i must leave the radio on whilst I'm on my bike ride to Bath, just set the timer so it comes on 20 mins after I've left - am I evil or what
Byee for now,
(when I get back if not too ********** I'll have another go at loading the pics

jUST ATTEMPTING TO WAKE EVERYONE ON h.t., YOU ARE RIGHT MAGSEY IT IS QUITE
All of our 16/5 Melodians will be busy packing I am sure!
Phil, I think all of this excercise is having a personality effect! Is it actually doing what it is mean to?
The sun is shining here too, though I don't know how warm it is as I've not been out yet. I bet it's not as warm as the Med though.
its like San Tropez here today except no big orange thing floating past. :sun :sun
When I awoke this morning I thought I was in the Med, certainly big diffrence to yesterday, I wonder if the salad is still eatable, the stew was O.K. from what I remember.
Magsey "having a personality effect! Is it actually doing what it is mean to?" what do you mean I am cutting down on the ding dong a bit part of my cut out the carbs bit - no bread- no nibbles my legs ache though. (sorry Luci). Mus tget fit for the cruise of a life time, Yes my mate and I are going down the Kennet & Avon on Monday to London might call in on Devises, well there are so many of those locks

Good morning Aslemma, enjoy your lunch!
just booked my car parking, now got to sort out the clothes!!
Don't worry, the forward forecast is for 74%
The weather looks much better today and all the world and their friends are out boating on the grand canal!
I'm so envious of you all for being able to enjoy some good weather. It seems that The North West is getting the thin end of the wedge, as l am layering up every morning , just as l do in Feb. & March.
Sure, the sun is out quite a lot, but the wind is bitter some days and l actually felt a flake of snow on my cheek (no, l wasn't cycling in the buff!!!) last week. Today we are having a respite from the cold wind but it is cloudy, and the forecast for the next couple of days is 8 to 12 deg. and that is during the day. Heaven alone knows what it will drop to at night.
Not condusive to starting off the tan, but it does sound churlish to complain. There are people who are worried about their cruises even taking place, so l shall shut up now.

What do you think the reasons are for the latest reports? It wasn't so long ago that the DE rep stood up on TV and guaranteed everyone a £10 cruise -what's gone wrong in meantime?
Just wondered if you had any thoughts - I would like to be a little more prepared.
Thanks and happy cruising for our next batch.
Elaine
Disappointed to hear that cruises have been suspended. The calls that people got were your cruises confirmed and in writing or were you still waiting for them? I'll be gutted if mine's is cancelled, probably like all your others out there. Its only five more weeks till I supposedly go. I wonder when they will be good enough to tell me if I am not going. The trouble is what come back will we have should ours be cancelled as, like me who has only paid £10 thats not a very big loss but the hassle of cancelling leave and then sitting back again waiting for another date. You can tell I am fed up yeh!
Should anyone have any more info let me know. Thanks a lot.
May B
I may have got this completely wrong but from what members have said, the suspension is for future bookings.
beautiful weather here, have been sitting in the garden not working in it today.
hi phil if you go through the devizes locks it will take you all day as there are about sixteen of them. (the caine hill locks).happy sailing vivien
I am going to remain hopefully optimistic (v. unusual for me) and assume that as I booked my cruise many months ago, paid for it and had written confirmation plus confirmation from Easyjet that I am on the flights that I will be going in September. Me thinks the suspension of cruises probably relates to future bookings whilst **** and DE are wrangling over who is to blame for the debacle. Anyway lets hope it all gets sorted soon so those who are still waiting can get some firm answers. Lovely day here too in the Eastern valley's of South Wales and am now off to iron and pack a few things for my hols on the 25th. I have to start early as I will undoubtedly re-pack several times before the final version!
I have been reading the posts but could not write until I replaced my keyboard that I upset tea all over. The last two Saturdays, I have been to Salisbury but I could not book the taxi cruise as there were so many that I did not know which one to choose. One just missed me as I turned into the Close - could it have been Tony? (It was black!)
Thank you for the information re-Melody. I had asked for first sitting but I think I will change to the later one. I am due to go on the 30th May and I can't see how it can be cancelled if I have my paper BA tickets so I will let you know when the rest arrives. Magsy is probably right that it refers to future cruises not yet booked.
I have received details of the Cunard excursions for July and, as we are visiting some of the same places, it will be interesting to compare prices.
Maureen (H) from Southampton (Shall have to wear black to-morrow!)
I have just read Juro's post and he says that he has his confirmation and also one from Easyjet to say he is on the flight in September. Does anyone know how you get that information from the airlines to say that you are down for a certain. I have my confirmation with airline etc on it, Ryanair. How do I find out if my name is on that flight. Do you ring or email or look on the internet. Anyone out there know how to check?
Thank you
May B
