Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what the weather is like in Puerto Rico at the minute, seen a lot of rain/wind in las Palmas????
Wendy
a rain coat in pr ....no...no...no, it will be hot
yes it is still there
Thanks Guys, its just it said rain on the 10 day forecast for Las Palmas and I was really really worried!!!
im a big breakfast eater do you know were, and i mean big
PS the only complaint i had was, i wish they would take the butter out the freezer earlier, was solid
fat cats is still there but tom and jerrys was shut last year.
you will have a great time!! i went with "the girls" a couple of years ago and loved it so much i returned the next year. there are bars galore, and we accidently found a little treat...it was a lovely bar on the beach(the man made one). it catered mainly for the locals and the music was wicked. you will know it when you see it (if it is still there) because it was covered with see grass matting and had tea light candles all around....wonderful.
I'm going there in a few weeks and would like to do some jet skiing or water sking or diving or something
anyone know weres cheap to do it or anything ?
Dave
there are all manner of watersports on the main puerto rico beach.
if you walk right down by the beach there are a couple of padi dive centres, pedaloes, jetskis and the big red boat. can't be sure of the banana boat or the rings. you may be able to get these at the amadores beach. enjoy
thanks charley
well, that all depends on where abouts you are staying... however some places offer a night at Garbo's. well well worth it! its very expensive, but fantastic! (its a dinner and show)
You never need a rain coat in Gran Canaria! (hopefully)
one tip... with the excursions, a lot of them are over priced, so if they are only offering a coach ride and guided tour, it may be worth getting a bus and exploring for yourself at times! (more fun and a tiny fraction of the price)
but.. each to their own...
regards
Kate.
hope you have a great hol!!
Was out in PR last November and had a fantastic time, you would have to try really hard not to enjoy yourself. if you like the beach then Amadores is a must, There's a path that takes you from PR beach along the cliffs through to Amadores and it only takes 15 minutes. Nightlife is really good in PR and I agree with the post about getting a taxi back, as my girlfriend found out, attempting to combine high heels with the steep tiled paths in PR can only lead to a very long journey back, and as I found out, trying to combine laughter with someone in this situation can only make it longer.
Puerto Rico is a place we go back to every year...preferably after Christmas. A beautiful place , full of Fab restaurants, bars and night life and all year round good weather.
What will the temperatures be like in the evenings?
Does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations in the resort?
Anything we should be watching out for to avoid?!
always go to Puerto Rico October.
Where are you stopping?
Weathers hot 80F+!!! as it is nearly all year round ,and the heat at night;-
The temperature drops to roughly about 15C+ in the evenings, which isn't cold is it .
As for restaurants you must try :- 'San Miguels' in the main shopping centre if you like steak they are the best.
If you fancy a night out then go to Playa del Ingles to the 'Yumbo centre'
Its the gay capital of the Canaries ,the drag shows are good.
WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch out for the african women that hang around the park ,DON'T shake their hand or stop to talk ,as they try to either plait your hair or want to put a bracelet on your wrist and once they've got you they want paying exstortionate amounts of money,or your camera's as payment.
So Beware!!!!!!
Anyway hope you have a great time
hiya..have a look at some off the other posts...it will give you a good idea off the place. you will enjoy
