Hia!
I emailed my hotel to ask the price so we know what to expect. The price for 2 weeks is £50!
Wow that seems a bit excessive, never had to pay for it myself and depending on when you go it is needed also keeps mossies at bay. powdie
ours was 2o quid last year per week ,,wasnt worth it has it was only in living room were daughter slept ,,we didnt get the benefit of it in bedroom ,,she use to turn it off when it got too cold for her ,while we melted wasnt till i came home that i realised why i kept findin playing cards around the apartment from previous guests lol .. knows this time
i don't think £50 is too bad for two weeks if it means you're going to be comfortable. also, £3 per night works out at £42 anyway, so its not too bad for an essential!
Consider that if you ran it 24/7 then it would cost the hotel 1.68 a day then 2 pounds a day is plenty enough for it. Best try and negotiate on the price a bit.
Has anyone got the AC prices for the hotels this year? £25 is a lot wonga to spash on AC, also is the AC good as stayed in hotels before abroad and the AC had given me a really bad cough
You should expect to pay around £3 per night for air conditioning
the rooms do get very hot, ive just returned from marmaris, temps were between 34-36 c most days, our AC was on all the time we were in our room & i honestly dont think we would have been able to sleep without it!
£25.00 per week last year and we are hoping to pay the same this year.
Paid £75 for a fortnight Costa del Sol last year......
In August 2003, we paid 7 euros per day in Kefalonia.
Have also heard that the A/C is about £25.00 per week
Hi im going to be staying in the Princess Kinli Apartments in Marmaris in two weeks. THe Manos Brochure states "Air con payable locally" What does this mean and what will it cost for two weeks??Is this common. Please help as i am so worried about the heat! thankyou guys!
this means that you will need to pay the hotel once you get thre and they will give you the controller for the air conditioning. Whilst i dont know how much it will cost at the apartments you are visiting we paid around £20 a week in Gumbet last year. Believe me it was worth it!!
It means you pay the hotel directly, instead of paying through the travel company. It won't cost you too much at all, probably £10 a week if that. I don't bother with AC so I am sure someone will confirm the costs....
Have fun
this means that air conditioning is available in your rooms but you pay the Hotel for the use of it. We came back from Marmaris on Saturday and paid £20 a week for the air condotioning .The other thing to bear in mind is it only comes on when you are in the room as it is normally activated by putting your room key in a slot as you enter your room.
Paul
very true what "thewhartons" says about the key, but the trick here is to take the key off the fob which activates the electricity in your room and leave it in all day. Our air conditioning was that good last year we couldnt have it on full or it would be too cold this was so so nice when you get just that bit too hot and you can really cool down.
just back from icmelar we paid £25 per week , BUT you only get it in the main bedroom which was ok for us with no kids but they will have to suffer in the hot room , this is general in most apartments i have been in , i dont think you will get less than £20 per week ,and if you are going any time now till mid september you will defo need it it was 35 DEGREES AT NIGHT and 45 + during the day enjoy your hols
we thought about removing the key but the ring was sealed and we couldnt get it off
If you have booked two rooms you can use the key from one room to cool the other whilst you are out.....at least you get one room cool as soon as you get back.
